I agree. No scam. Slow cooked lamb is a delicacy SR30 (£6) is a fair price, as is SR15 (£3) for Chicken Tikka. I wish the Riyal was 5 to the pound when I worked there. I would be a much richer man (it was between 6.5 and 7.5 so fewer pounds and euros to send home 😢).

Some people may get surprised that you were in Madina, but you weren’t Muslims. It’s being for 10s of years Madina not open for none-Muslims. Therefore, people started to think it’s only for Muslims. Anyway, I’m so glad you got to visit Madina and see Prophet Mohammed Masjid. I hope you learned more about Islam and it’s been an eye opening lovely experience. By the way Saudi Arabia is a big country as you know, and they are many places I wish you had visited. For example, the South and the East provinces are very different places with different cultures. I hope you come back again to Saudi Arabia. You guys are more than welcome in my country. We happy to see you.

Lost in translation. The poor yemeni guy was not trying to scam you. Sheep/lamb prices have been very expensive in the last few years. One full sheep/ goat goes from 1000 to 1500 riyals from local farm. If you order laham at the restaurant expect it to be expensive or the meat portion to be quite small. It’s better to cook it at home coz that’s what we do.

Hi guys happy to see you enjoying our Madinah and you are most welcome all the time. I just wanted to point out one major thing: most of the places you’ve visited around the Al-haram area is Desi places, meaning these are mostly Pakistani-Indian-Bangladeshi places. If you really want to enjoy a walk, please visit Al-Hijra walk or Quba Boulivard

Hi Mandy / Lee, Looks like that restaurant wanted to pull a fast one on you guys. It's extremely annoying when folks want to overcharge just coz we're foreigners. They lost two potential customers. Is it me or the rice is extra long? That's the second or third time I see you order rice, it looks longer than what we have in Europe. And in regards to bread, it looks delicious, it's amazing that many countries make their bread differently and fresh every day. Yet in the US Canada, they choosed convenience of their "so called sliced bread" over quality. How is it in New Zealand? Thanks for the video, wishing you a lovely weekend, take care 😎

Hello SERGIO 👋 Apologies for missing this comment... I only just found it today 🥹 Blimmin' KZfaq! I think we misunderstood the restaurant owner... but it all ended up brilliantly as I loved my meal in the other restaurant 😋 I hadn't noticed the rice being any longer, but we don't tend to eat rice in Europe... we mainly have bread or pasta in Portugal or the UK. Speaking of bread... the bread in Medina was delicious! I wish we'd eaten more 😊😋 Thank you so much for your lovely comment. See you on the next one 🙏🤗 ~ Mandy

It's not (and, I quote it) "Madinah". It's Yathrib!!! Stop changing the names of the places/cities 🛑 ⛔
@iKh7c
@iKh7c Жыл бұрын
Medina was called “Yathrib” before the migration of the Prophet peace be upon him, as this name was mentioned in the Quran on the lips of some hypocrites: (وإذ قالت طائفة منهم يا أهل يثرب لا مقام لكم فارجعوا) الاحزاب 13 , and the prophet peace be upon him, changed its name from Yathrib to Medina And he forbade the use of its old name, so he said: “Whoever says to Medina (Yathrib), then let him seek God’s forgiveness.” (Musnad Imam Ahmad 4/285) Don’t speak without knowledge, brother/sister and seek forgiveness. May Allah guide us all.

@@mikidias You’re talking like someone changed it recently. It’s been changed since the time of the prophet pbuh. Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, " I have been commanded to go to a town which will devour all towns. People call it Yathrib, but it is Medina. It drives away people as the bellows drives away the impurity of iron.” Bukhari and Muslim. You have a problem with the prophet pbuh not me, dear. What a filthy heart u have.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Ad-Dajjal will come and encamp at a place close to Medina and then Medina will shake thrice whereupon every Kafir (disbeliever) and hypocrite will go out (of Medina) towards him." Another one 👇🏻 concerning the dream of the Prophet (ﷺ) in Medina: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I saw (in a dream) a black woman with unkempt hair going out of Medina and settling at Mahai'a. I interpreted that as (a symbol of) the epidemic of Medina being transferred to Mahai'a, namely, Al-Juhfa." I can give u a lot more ahadeeth where the prophet call it Madinah.. you really need to seek knowledge before opening your mouth.
