I think Kroos could have won the man of the match award in that game. He was so good and not just in his assist. He seemed to be everywhere on the pitch and was completely controlling madrids possession. When he wasn't involved in buid up, Madrid just gave the ball away. Also his defensive contribution seemed to be better than usual. It looked like playing against bayern was personal to him. Also, Bayern were pressing so high and so aggressively that I don't blame Kim for being beat in behind. It looked like that aggressive man marking following the striker into the midfield was a tactical instruction. There were several fast breaks that he broke up with a super aggressive intervention but Kroos was too good when unpressed that Kim had no chance.
