That’s what I thought as well. I’m a freestyler myself, and while I loved the video, the final attempt looks almost identical to the one that touched the ground. It’s also interesting that no replay was shown.

It does touch the ground, you're right. Slow mo it, or frame by frame and you can see it bounces in the ground before he pulls it back up.
