I'm glad you talked about Inside Job. I'm not an adult cartoon kind of person, but Inside Job is just a masterpiece of adult entertainment. I was so sad when they said they were canceling the renewal. I honestly still hope the show is able to be picked back up by adult swim or something so they can continue it.

Gravity Falls is absolutely a top 10 show of the 2010s. One of the best animated series ever made. Of course the love hasn't died down.

have you watched the fan episode "Return to the Bunker"? it's really well made, very good writing, feels like a lost episode almost It fleshes out characters and fits in right into mid to late season 2

One of my favorites is the "We'll Meet Again" song of Bill Cipher, the full version sang by Bill, Soos, Grunkle Stan and McGucket, aka just Alex Hirsch singing to himself for 1:48 when the show reached 10 years. I love that thing. Also, the phrase "We'll meet again", just let me live in denial lying to myself on the false hope Bill Cipher is alive and Gravity Falls will have 6 more seasons. :)

OK along with the ‘watching other shows with similar items to it’ is my personal fav Over The Garden Wall. It has dark undertones and has A LOT of unsolved mysteries and unexplained events

the experience of trying to solve the mystery as the show went on will forever be one of my favourite fandom experiences. people across the globe all interconnected and comparing notes with one another because we were all so invested in this show was an incredible and unique experience

12:45 actually in the blu-ray in one of the episode commentaries alex actually debunked this theory by basically saying that because of Stan's sheer mental power in that moment, he not only defeated bill but genuinely just deleted him from existence. So even if his memories recover, bill did not. However the axolotl theory could still be correct cause he didn't really talk about that. Yes I watched all of the 40 episode commentaries can you tell I like gravity falls?

As someone who has seen all of the mentioned shows i can confirm: watching these will fill the void in the moment but will leave you with an even bigger one after you realize there probably won't be another one of these shows... But hey, that's a problem for another day! So enjoy!

When Gravity Falls first aired, I was too young to watch it, but I finally got the chance to see it last summer and I loved it! It was a truly memorable time for me, and revisiting Gravity Falls takes me back to those fond memories. I also watched Amphibia at the same time and enjoyed it just as much. However, I haven't had the chance to watch Owl House yet, even though many people have recommended it to me. I have also heard great things about Over the Garden Wall.

One of the things I regret the most not buying is the exclusive version of journal 3 that actually has the UV light feature which reveals a bunch of new content. Sadly it wasn't available in my country Btw: Rip Inside Job

Dead End: paranormal park is an underrated gem that absolutely captures the vibe of Gravity Falls

"Wrapped up properly" is a bit of a stretch when it comes to the Owl House. Disney cutting the show short could have let the final season be paced properly, and would have given us full episodes on all the events depicted in the photos in season 3 episode 1. Also, Dana Terrace hinted that the storyline she wanted to pursue more was about young Eda and Raine, so we could have gotten that too!

Dead End: Paranormal Park (Based off of a series of graphic novels) is also such a great cartoon to watch if you miss Gravity Falls!! Agh, it's so good. There is plenty of great representation, AND ALEX BRIGHTMAN.

I had a TON of Gravity Falls stuff such as... -An AWSOME coloring book themed around a color monster that told a story, had cool effects like sparkles and shiny drawings, and a bunch of color facts by Mabel! It was like an episode from the show in a coloring book. -A classic journal 3 -The 2 books featured in this video -A comic book that told the story of the first episode These were really cool and I am so glad I had them

If you ever want to do another video on Gravity Falls denial you still have other content to talk about. It's not canon but fans have made lots of amazing things related to it in the past few years including a fan made episodes, podcasts (one with Alex in it) Art books and zines/magazines! There's also the charity art streams (2016-2018 ish I believe). And amazing youtubers still doing long analysis videos (such as Hana) and such. The fans have really kept the show alive for this many years and are such an amazing community!!

Dude, I was laughing at the Don't Hug Me I'm Scared jokes because I've actually watched it before because my bestie is obsessed with it. But that aside, I loved this video! This summer I've already rewatched both Gravity Falls and Amphibia for like, the 5th time! I'm about to watch The Owl House for a 3rd time. I finished Amphibia a couple days ago and was literally crying into a pillow afterwards! That ending gets more sad the more I watch it. I'm with Footofaferret when I say that I like Amphibia more than Gravity Falls and that it's my favorite Disney series to date. I honestly don't see how you could get any better. It's a show full of humor, heartbreak, and a lot of epic moments that really draw you in. It has a lot of different scenery in each season. (There are 3 seasons btw.) It has an amazing story, lovable characters, and a great message about change. I recommend it to any Gravity Falls fan. Even if you aren't an amphibian person, I recommend it. See, I've always loved frogs, so I think that's part of what drew me in, but it's a show anyone can enjoy. If you aren't an amphibian person, you might just be one after you watch Amphibia. It has a cute and interesting perspective on how a frog might see normal, everyday things for a human. It's a show I recommend to anyone. It's even a show I would recommend to a Studio Ghibli fan. I don’t know if you saw the Bad Egg Studios Gravity Falls collection but all of the stuff was so amazing! I bought the Bill Cipher ita bag and it arrived today and it is gorgeous! I’m not sure if they are still selling some of the items but it is definitely worth the check out as they have a heap of cool drops. They also worked with Alex on the collection which makes it that little more special

Gravity Falls really is an absolute masterpiece

After watching gravity falls and ducktales, I watched Amphibia and I fell in love with it. It is probably my favorite cartoon of all time. Also I think that puppet Stan having bill in his mind is a reference to dreamscapes in season 1 when bill goes into Stan’s mind. There is also another reference to the episode. When Stan talks about deer teeth and then says the backwards message, that is a reference to Gideon getting deer teeth by bill.

At 26:00 i also recommend dead end: paranormal park, it was 2 kids working at a theme park to stop strange stuff like demons, weird myths and angels which can give gravity falls sort of vibes. Note: it Got cancelled after the episode, The watchers test

Gravity falls will never die I swear

Another show that has heavy Gravity Falls vibes is Infinity Train. They do such an excellent job of fleshing out the world and stories in the exact same amount of episodes as Gravity Falls. Sucks it was basically screwed over so it’s basically impossible to watch it legally

I remember that this show premiered at a perfect time in my life. I was the same age as the leads when it started airing (atleast on Ukrainian TV). I was always fascinated by mythology, folklore and bizzare unexplained events. I was a huge X-Files fanboy growing up (thanks to my parents) so having a show where the Mulder and Scully equivalents were people my age (and, thankfully, not romantically involved) was relatable. I was and still, literally am, like Dipper and Mulder combined. It was also one of the things which made me want to pursue my writing career (with the other being The Spiderwick Chronicles books) which is still a great passion of mine. Not to mention that it's, hands down the only animated show that managed to fully engross me with it's storyline and characters. Sure, there were other well done animated shows, but none did it for me like Gravity Falls did. The humor, the mystery, the rich and complex lore, everything about it was absolutely amazing and despite it having only two seasons, the supplimentary books more than make up for it. I'm glad the community is thriving and, whilst I know there will be no comeback, I take pleasure in enjoying what we have.

In my opinion, I'd say The Owl House is the closest to Gravity Falls. Despite having little things in the show and other stuff about TOH in the Gravity Falls graphic novel book (Eda's staff, Eda's wanted picture, and a page of the Boiling Isles in one of the Journals) there has been/was a thing going around about Eda possibly being Grunkle Stans ex-wife with his description fitting her and the cover-up name she used in the human realm. There's probably a whole video about it on KZfaq that better explains it.

Might I add the connection to puppet Stan with the deer teeth and the deer teeth at the beginning of the series with the early interaction to Bill

In 1st grade my teachers son helped work on gravity falls art and he came to the school to tell us about it and he also worked on duck tales and told us about duck tales before it was announced and aired it was pretty cool

Sadly they stopped printing the "See you next summer" letter in later releases of the Blu-Ray collection, so I never got it since I got mine in 2022. I'm so happy that I got it when I did since the collection is discontinued now.

I'm glad you talked about inside job and the owl house, because I will be on my deathbed and still be mad that they both got cancelled. I mean at LEAST the owl house got to actually end (they got a third of their usual slotted time to do it and they were cancelled on the DUMBEST REASON IMAGINABLE but I guess a show being allowed to end is a courtesy), they just cut off inside job. It's even worse because they probably got started working on it, got excited, and then after a week they got cancelled (I swear Netflix is just trying to ruin themselves at this point).

If we're jumping to Netflix for Gravity Falls substitutes, it'd also be worth mentioning shows like Kipo; Age of the Wonderbeasts, Centaurworld, and Dead End, Paranormal Park. Very good mystery cartoons with very lovable casts, all of which are of course already over, with Paranormal Park getting cancelled at a very hard to swallow ending to season 2. Still, highly recommend all of them, Kipo the most of the three.

The Huey reference seems more like just a nod to OG Ducktales, where all three of the kids originally wore those caps, and regularly leaned on the Jr Woodchuck manual as a resource. The difference is that now Huey is the only one who wears the cap and uses the manual, part of the new characterization of him being an autistic nerd who doesn't deal well with surprises, which sets him apart form his brothers.
