So for honors story....could make an amazing new fantasy medieval franchise, I've thought this for a long time, in my head it's similar to what mortal Kombat did, designed based on a cool idea, "what if these things were to fight". But the lore the team has built around it has me so interested in the actual world, I would honestly pay decent money for more campaign so long as it continues the kind of story it's told so far, realistic story in a world which diverged greatly and has all the fantasies and legends of our world, but were real at some point. And of course, any campaign, novel, comic, or movie/series needs to be violent, that original trailer when you saw the bodies in the snow got me so hyped before launch.

Bruh, Apollyon's voice is perfect for audio books in the Medieval fiction genre! She could talk about nearly anything for hours and I'd still listen!

Astrea forced her enemies into doing what she wanted. Astrea primarily led through fear and brutality. Apollyon taught and learned about her enemies history and even things her enemies didn't know about their own ancient civilizations and history. She fought with a persice strike vs a blunt force like Astrea. The common people can both be sheep or wolves. But peace makes these terms redundant as the weak and strong are treated as equals allowing the evil ones to rise without resistance to those who don't like to be reminded when they arn't at peace. Apollyon strives for war because it seperates the good from bad, the sheep from the wolves. Not just in soldier's but in civilians as well. Apollyon teaches that war can be healthy for civilization, not war forever, but of being able to defend who you love when evil arises. For Apollyon weak is about someone's Ideals and mindset. Those who want peace without the ability to defend who they love she considers weak. For Astrea anyone who isn't a warrior is killed. Two very different warriors and warlords. Honestly taking Apollyon and Astrea and their armies and fighting against one another Apollyon has something worth fight for. Her own people, her own pack, pride whom she actively protects and is loyal to. Astrea would be a threat just like the vikings were to Apollyons village. Apollyon would become more brutal in a war against Astrea. Apollyon saw the dead, the starving, the slaughtered, the chaos and the death left in the wake of the evil warroirs who destroyed her village and she never forgot the lesson. Astrea sees the world as some are born to rule while other's are meant to starve. Astrea is following what her Demon (Manipulating Astrea acting as a God.) Horkos told her Astrea to continue Apollyons work. There both good in there own right and they do what they do best. Astrea is tyrannical, insane & lustful never willing to bring brutal violence to an end. Apollyon is clever and idealistic. Apollyon would go against Astrea as Astrea doesn't fight for what Apollyon does. Astrea is more disconnected from Apollyons purpose. Apollyon even won in her death. The three factions all fought eachother. Had Apollyon not died she would have untied them and went to war against Astrea. Also bullshit moments suck. Knife in Apollyon that shouldn't have gotten through her armor. The Orichi that was able to kill Apollyon. Wouldn't happen. Orichi would be fatigued from that fight. And we also have to look past one dimension at Apollyons badass fighting skill and adaptability as well as her ability to predict in combat. Then take what Apollyon studied about her enemies. If you kne yourself & your enemy you need not fear the results of a thousand battles. Apollyon wouldn't want to face herself on battlefield. Why so easily would an enemy win against one who has no fear of mankind. Apollyons fear of being unloved, for the world would only take that from her, just as they did to her when the world tore apart her village. For her it would be the same old story left broken & betrayed...

so if I’m interpreting correctly - over a millennium ago, the Vikings of Valkenhiem had a great empire across the land, and had given a small part of the West to the growing ‘European’ Knights. 1,000 years ago, the Cataclysm (most likely a mix of volcanic and tectonic activity) left Ashfeld in ruin, destroyed a land far to the east, and froze the seas to the North. 500 years pass and the knights have reestablished themselves through the lands and are able to repel a weakened Samurai force that seeks refuge. Another 400 or so years pass and the seas thaw, allowing the Vikings to return who want to reclaim the land they lost. Now, with everyone seeking refuge in Ashfeld, tensions rose. all it needed was a spark to ignite the gunpowder of war
