I agree but on the other hand would you like a rushed major update full of bugs or a polished update with minor amount of bugs identified with mass adoption eaither way looking forward to getting to grips with it and streaming it

If they don't want to work on the holidays, they must launch at least 2 weeks before Christmas, because launching Dec 19th , the bug patch that always must be made after a release will or be made on holidays, or delayed to almost two weeks the release, you can imagine the state of the reviews after two weeks waiting for the hotfix.

A bit disappointing that they only showed 'instant' experiments, I thought they had some which needed to be manned, or powered, or both for stretches to collect all the science.

Science is exactly what I was waiting for before I buy it. Bought KSP as soon as it went to EA on Steam, but never got into it until Science was added.

One of the things I disliked about the KSP science system is the biome system where you can repeat all experiments in each biome. I felt like I could just harvest the Mun for too much science. For myself, I'd prefer a system where I need to accomplish certain tasks, like going to other planets, to progress through the tech tree. I don't know if that would be for everyone though.

In KSP 1 I'm pretty sure you can get all the science you need for the whole tech tree just from the Mun and Minmus. However in KSP 2 there's probably more advanced parts of the tree that need more science, so if that's the case, I guess you'd be forced to explore further to unlock the new stuff

If you watch my "Final Thoughts" segment near the end of the video, you will see an example of how rockets will behave in 0.2.0 "For Science!" compared to now.

I really don't like the points-based mechanic of KSP1. The science you collect should be meaningful in the sense that you learn things about the environment and the technology needed to get there that opens new doors based on accomplishments. If you put a probe in orbit around a body, say, it gives you information and/or technology that helps you _land_ on that body later down the road. Taking a spacecraft into Jool's SOI, for instance, would give you information on the radiation environment that would unlock radiation-hardened parts for landing on the inner moons... things like that.

But this could limit the options to play how you want Like, how do i unlock planes? Or would i need to visit certain destinations to unlock 0.62, 1.85, 2.5 and 3.75m parts just because? Still it's a nice idea, but it will limit options, even if this system is more engaging than just points

What if they had an instrument that could produce a biome map (planetary survey? Or science map?) from orbit? Maybe some kind of radar? And producing a biome map could produce some science.

Can't wait for the update to drop. I've gotten better at docking in ksp 1 so I'll be able to make cooler stations in ksp 2 (the game is currently too laggy to play).

And KSP2s last chance saloon looms. Botch this with game breaking bugs that make missions impossible and they'll lose what little playerbase they have left, let alone bring people back. I have my fingers and toes crossed they actually begun turning things around, but it needs to start here.

I took off work the day ksp2 came out, that's how hyped i was. Haven't loaded the "game" once since then. Now we are 7 months later and they are releasing what amounts to about 2% of the things ksp2 is supposed to have. So maybe I'll give ksp2 another go in about 25 years when it's about 80% complete moving at their current development pace. And let's not forget when it was announced in 2019 it was "almost complete" and slated for 2020 release. Now dec 2023 we have........reentry heating 😂

The "All Y'all" mod for KSP1 takes a lot of the monotony out of science collection. Click any science tool (including crew cabins or probe cores) and pick "perform all science". It doesn't use up any of the finite experiments that you throw away the results for.

I'm quite disappointed with the speed of developement. The game is not priced as an EA Game. If you take full amounts of cash you should at least have the basic functions working.
