There iwas a short period of time when Knighton was gonna be the king about two years ago going into trials with a 19.49, the fastest in the world, and Lyols just beat him at the finish and hasn't been close ever since. I predicted back then that Knighton would never reach his potential (which would be world record since he eclipsed all of Usain Bolt's under 20 records)

personally think that this semi if lyles put full effort he can get around 19.3 high or 19.35
@soapenvelope13 күн бұрын
He should went full to try to break wr in the semis, it is the best place to break it without pressure
@itsalifestyle627613 күн бұрын
Break what record? Its obvious you don't know track lyles will never go faster than 19:35 if he get that low remember now he's Not even a 9.7 runner in 100m you really expect Him to run 19 .19 put some respect on bolt and blake names those guys 100m time were so fast thats why the 200m times were so great for them
@fg671713 күн бұрын
@@itsalifestyle6276 Firstly, with reference to Michael Johnson's 19.32 200m, it proves that even though he is not sub 10 runner he still can make it. 200m requires long distance high speed endurance, which is around 40km/h, it is not fast in 100m (10.5 runners can reach this speed), so that even though lyles cannot run under 9.8 i still think that he can reach blake's record. Secondly, this semi lyles was not at full effort in the last 30 meters, which can be 0.05s slower for each 10m, so that i think he can get maybe 19.3X for full effort this semi. Not to mention that bolt and blake's record can be easily taken, but its the fact that technology is bringing everyone to a higher level now. Personally think that 200m sub 19.30 is not that hard with comparison to sub 9.75
@fg671713 күн бұрын
@@itsalifestyle6276 A key point is to note that, 10 years ago there is no "lightstrike pro", "zoomx", "air zoom units" for spikes. Remember Justin Gatlin did 9.79 in 2012 Olympics? His shoe was glued by himself just before the race. And he still can make the same performance with the existing WL this year. It implies that supershoes can make lots of differences for the time (maybe 0.2-0.3s for 200m), if bolt and blake hv these supershoe in their races, the WR maybe even go under 19s. So it is possible for lyles to get some performance that looks like "super" with advance to the technologies.
