Forbidden Psalm games are by far my favourite set of skirmish rules. Last War has just the right amount of depth to it.

I love Forbidden Psalm. I've only played about three games of it but so far my "Metal Kult of Megadeth" is undefeated.

I love this "Why I like it" series. I can see how this presentation makes it easy to think up a skirmish warband. I would've liked to hear something about the game rules that make it worthwhile to check out other than you have move and action. Will check out Kill Sample Process, cyberpunk is a fun genre.

Uncle Atom thank you for FINALLY been doing a video on this great game! My group and I have been playing this for months now, we went to it after frostgrave. It has excellent dark atmosphere and there's a lot to explore! I suggest all new players to buy Mork Borg rulebook with it as well to have as a lore book to go with Psalm for the setting! And there's also a world war 1 style one too!

Fun little follow up from the future, Forbidden Psalm: End Times Edition released earlier this year which rolls a bunch of the cool stuff from Last War and KSP into the core rules.

As a postpunk kid, I love the design as it reminds me of the zines of that time.

I'm really looking forward to Kill Sample Process! Everything you mentioned just has a killer design and aesthetic, I've enjoyed everything I've picked up so far.

As a lover of Mörk Borg I have been eyeballing this for a while. I'll probably never get to play it but I just love the design aesthetic for that whole genre of books.

Love this nice simple game. It's surprising how much you can do with just 4 stats and a great atmosphere.

I have all four of those books. I REALLY like the Forbidden Psalm games. I'm waiting for a bunch of Knucklebones miniatures I order to arrive so I can get painting and start playing Last War. And Ash's Forbidden Psalm Let's Plays are some of the best.

I had no idea The Last War was a thing. I had kitbashed some Frostgrave minis with some Bolt Action bits with the hopes to use them for Space Weirdos. But this sounds perfect!

Thanks forthe heads up on these, loving really small 'footprint' game systems (underworld from the big bad GW) -- so any change to mix up systems with great minis is aplus! Will grab the Forbidden Psalm & in the footsteps PDF's -- maybe they release a hard scifi game too...?

I am personally loving The Last War. Something about it got my kit bashing creativity going to 11! I even built a modular Trench/no mans land board that I need to finish painting.

These games have rekindled my love for miniatures games. My only downside is I don’t have a local group that plays these! My LGS stocks them, so I know there are fans around somewhere though

I finally picked up Dread Nights and The Last War. Then immediately ordered 30 Germans from Wargames Atlantic. Some to build as Zealots with Trench Clubs. A few others to build as Loyal. And the rest to build as my basic crew. I will pick up a sprue of British and French from them later on. Foundry has some lovely Field Artillery and Tanks I can use as the Haunted Tank, etc. I think my next part of my project will be some barbed wire to wrap around some zombies... Then just making some stake and wire lines and building some basic trench lines for some of the scenario maps.

Really like the idea behind The Last War - can it be played Solo like Forbidden Psalm? It has a good sounds vibe and the 2ft playing space covered in trenches would be fun. AS an aside, I'm really enjoying reading through Space Station Zero - Great work on that, the POD is really nice. Not Played it yet but I'm going to be using some old Space Crusade boards as a backdrop.

For Last War here's some good house rules to use, my group and I have been using these and the creator of the game approved of them too on the FB group: - have no man's land areas between trenches designated as difficult ground, which case it has the "muddy" rule as listed in the conditions section - Barb wire rules: models must take a toughness test dr12 to move through or leave barb wire. If failed stop half way through and take cruel 1 damage. If passed move completely normal - broken windows/weak areas in terrain walls can be broken through with strength dr12 test if touching it. If succeeded you can move through it otherwise stop and waste action - when using an order, you must blow a world war 1 whistle replica and shout "order!" for it to work - gas and smoke grenades damage are cruel

Even if you don't play rpgs much, you owe it to yourself to play MB. I've never been so grossed out yet laughed so much playing an rpg. It's amazing! Definitely picking this up soon!

Sounds like a steampunk, rayguns and vicious alien horrors style theme would work really well with this game. Cool, going to add these to the collection.

Mini agnostic games remind me of my early days in playing RPGs. The Ral Partha minis didn’t quite fit the games, but they were great and lead to lots of imagination. I’ll check these games out. Thanks!

Chronicle Cards also had a KS for another Forbidden Psalm-based cyberpunk game called Severance Package. It's a little different than KSP and probably worth looking into if you like cyberpunk.

The great thing about these is you've probably already got figures and scenery so a small investment in rules gets ye going. Nice steer. Thanks PS battle reps would be great.

I've got all three, but I haven't dug into them yet. Last War I may have to hack into Grim Weird WW2. I liked where Konflict 47 started (Warlord's Weird WW2), but it was just a bit too...mundane. Looking forward to the awards show, and beyond!

Unfortunately, being an old fart, both Mork Borg and Forbidden Psalm share the "visually interesting" layout that makes both reading and refencing rules during play, an absolute chore. I'm not paying for doing eye gymnastics. It's a game rulebook, not a provocative art performance. I understand I'm missing out, but within my tragically limited gaming resource economy (time, energy, enthusiasm, etc.), this effort is just not a viable enterprise.

Somehow have most of their books, but missed that they have a cyberpunk Forbidden Psalm game! These books are fantastic. They are worth owning only for the inspiration I get from the art and design.
