Awesome content bhaiji. About to book this beast for myself shortly. 1 question I have regarding Tire pressure measure system given in Gurkha. I know its after market and is not very accurate but if you could explain may be in a video or here how it works and how to change tires without disturbing it would be really helpful. All my other queries are answered anyway in your other video. A big thank you and keep it up.😊

Bhai the TPMS is quite useless. Mostly it wont work and when it does its inaccurate. Better to keep a handheld monitor with you and check pressure manually if you feel a tyre may be losing air. To be honest i keep my TPMS off only.

Bhai suspension toh Gurkha ki kaafi achi hai. Issues aaye theh thode meri gurkha mein kyunki 1st lot ki thi. Woh issues ab company ne theek kar diye hain. Jaise jaise naye issues meri ya friends ki gurkha mein ayenge toh unke baare mein zaroor share karunga. 🙏🙂

Very informative and useful video, probably one of the most technical presentation on this subject of Tyre and wheel types, sizes, material, specifications. It's not only helpful for the Gurkha owners, all car owners specially off-roading enthusiasts would get benefitted. The background sound in this video is dramatic and really suits the opening shot with Gurkha lettering. The red hexagonal pattern used at the end for the channel branding looks beautiful 👍

Aftermarket seat covers can be stitched..many places in karol bagh Lajpat nagar etc do it. Car Covers aren't available yet.

Maine original alloys and tyres dealer ko hi bech diye theh. Mere yeh alloys ki cost 35k thi aur unke mujhe 30k mile theh. Tyres pe 5k per tyre hi mile theh.

You would have to ask the service advisor or dealer at Force Motors bro. I feel warranty would get affected for changing the steering system. Just to be clear do you want to change the whole system or just the steering wheel? ..and why?

I am planning to buy gurkha and planning to buy as my only car I have doubt about this vehicle as i have seen a lot of people complaining about steering lock and rpm issue. Please suggest

There have been some issues but the company is actively following up on them. I am not aware of "steering lock" or "rpm" issues. The fuel average i am getting is around 9 to 10 kmpl so you should keep that in mind as well. I use my Gurkha on a daily basis so it can be used as the only car but yes there are some issues with the initial batches. Do you have a dealer and service center close by?

In new Gurkha 255 / 65 R18 company fitted tyres, After installing 285/60R18 wide tyres in Gurkha, there will be any type of problem? Can it be installed in same rim ?

Size differnce in height is just half an inch but width is quite a bit more. There might be some rubbing issues and drop in fuel efficiency and pickup. One will only know about fitment issues like rubbing when turning once the tyre is fitted.

As for installing on same rim one has to know the width of the rim. Usually 20 mm wider tyres do fit on the same rim but is not recommended.

Radars in this size are about 15 kg and equivalent Apollo exact weight i am not sure of exactly but must be around 11 kgs i feel. Yes these Radars are proving to ne a very good offroad and onroad tyre. 🙂

Bhai 16 inch is perfect size with 245 75 16 tyre. Lagwane ko aap 17 and 18 inch alloy bhi lagve loge lekin tyre profile patla karna padega. Offroad main kaam nahi ayega..ulta rim damage hoga. Company ne kaafi soch samajh ke 16 inch ke alloy rim diye hain. Best option yahi hai. 🙏

No i haven't faced this issue. But i had one pipe come loose and power steering fluid pipe leaked. Thats was fixed by having its nut tightened and power steering fluid added. No issue since then. Wil make a 0 to 100 video soon.

@@abhimanyubansal7194 when i bought them in mid November 2021 i had paid 12,000 per tyre. Now the prices have risen to 17,000 per tyre. I was very lucky!! 🙏

How did you recalibrate your odometer to get the correct speed after changing your tires to a bigger one?

I did not recalibrate the ODO bro. It makes a difference of about 3% to 5% difference in odo reading and speed reading. So if my car shows its run 100 km it has infact run approx 105 kms. I factor this in when calculating fuel mileage. 🙂

You have tastefully modified your Gurkha, Force recently launched the Gurkha in Nepal in the same tyre size you modified your Gurkha in 245/75/R16 (the tyres are from a Chinese company though). Amazing video and info....can you please clarify if recalibration is required in odo, for mileage, etc and how and where is it to be done? Why you did not go for it personally? 35k for the rims is the complete set or per rim 35k? (Sorry to ask this as am an amateur and learning from you!)

@@siddharthasabat4854 7k per rim :). Recalibrating the ODOMETER isn't really required for a small difference in tyre size like this. The total diameter change was 3.4% so it means that the Odo will be inaccurate by this small percentage as well. If i had changed Rim size to 18 and had bigger tyres fitted then i may have needed to get the odo recalibrated.

My brother has its own Garage, we both were planning to replace our old Thar and Scorpio with Gurkhas, but we got really disappointed with Power output, even we were okay with limited service stations, thought we'll do our services by ourselves.. However, I feel its under powered for the height n drag this vehicle has... Now I don't see any other option with Striking looks like Gurkha..

Power is quite decent for highways and city. Its not a drag racer but can keep a decent pace all day long.

What about the ground clearence issue of Gurkha? Have u done any modifications underbody also??

The 245/75/16 size tyres inplace of 245/70/16 tyres frees up 1 inch of extra ground clearance. The underbody bash plate can also be modified to free up even more ground clearance. I plan to do this also soon. 🙂

@@IndianOverlander My understanding is that the extra 5% increase in sidewall will increase the diametre of tyre by 24.5 mm but will increase the ground clearence (distance from centre of wheel to ground) by 12.25 mm only.

The badges are from Drivenation. They have an instagram page..1200-1400. I'm planning to buy a Gurkha in d month of sept. so wanted to know whether Force s doing necessary changes fr d ground clearance issue?? And plz lemme know d cost of ur alloy wheels nd is it metallic gold color wat u hv used fr painting it... Should I wait for some more time or go ahead n sept. as a video is circulating claiming new Gurkha being tested wth improved ground clearance... Alloys are Plati (Rs.35,000) and i the satin bronze gold color was specially made and alloys were painted professionally at a cost of Rs.15,000.
