WOW! You came to my town! As a child back in the 50s, I would walk to the prison (over 2 miles from my home) and explore it quite often. I loved sitting up in the guard tower to feel the breeze on the hot days. Back then, a lot of the original buildings and walls were still standing and we didn't have to pay to go into the museum or any part of the prison. A book was written about the prison and titled, "The Hell Hole." I have only been back to it once since they did all the remodeling on it. It broke my heart seeing what all they did, it has lost so much of the history and feeling you get when you walk there. The train came through Yuma, next to the prison and the trains still uses the same route and bridge. The reason why you saw so many RV parks and camp grounds is because so many of the people that live in Canada, Alaska, Northern & Midwestern states come here for the winters to escape the freezing weather and the insane high heating bills during winter. I would guess that 95% of them are all retirees and senior citizens. Right after you passed the California inspection station was an exit to Algadonas Mexico where the Snowbirds love to for Dental and Eye care, shopping, and authentic Mexican Food. You can also purchase prescription medicines very cheap there, but check to see what the US will allow you to bring back across the border. My cousin came several years ago to visit and went over to get some medicine for his asthma and heart. He was able to get 6 months worth for under $25, but would have cost him well over $1000 in US.

A lot of people had flu this year in the US. I just recovered from it myself. It was awful. Hopefully you will recover quickly and enjoy the rest of your trip.

What a shame you took ill. We have had a cough now for 4 weeks caught it in Benidorm. A lot of it about. George loves the water, great to see. Any way stay safe x

I just lost my Mum Sunday 21st, they gave her 6 weeks over a year ago. I got covid for the first time last September and i was exactly like that, the test did not show at first but did one 3 days in and it was showing. Lasted ages

omg when we did the usa tour los angles down to san deigo, we stopped in Mexico, this was before the wall was built, we drove in and went to a little place for lunch.... ordered something and lunch arrived and there was a something on the plate that we just weren't sure of, a dolbet of something brown/greeny ..... we did not eat it just left it, till this day have never gone back.... we then went on to sand deigo which we thought was lovely... but our desination was of course San Francisco and seeing the Golden gate bridge for the first time , that was like a dream come true as only ever seen it on the telly...

Love your videos guys, liked your mention of the beans too we watch all their videos like we do yours too. Been a great trip with you in the US and can’t wait for the biggest ever Trip to come around. Can’t believe you actually get negative comments, what can anybody find negative about you guys. We have just come back from Paradise Point San Diego and loved the Midway we did San Diego zoo which was awesome and some shopping of course definitely a great city

Great effort putting the video together under the circumstances guys. I could tell you were both trying really hard to keep things together.

One year I went to visit friends of ours down in Florida and being there a few days I caught a bad cold! I caught whatever their son had since he was there before I was! I think I went through a whole bag of cough drops while walking around Disney! I couldn’t stop coughing. I was miserable the whole time there! Tried to make the best of it as well! When we came back to the house I took some Vicks cough medicine and that seemed to help! So now I take Musinex Cold and Flu medicine both tablets and syrup form!

American toilets are different , went to New Orleans many years ago the toilet in one bar had no partitions around it , apparently they had a drug problem .....needless to say we didnt stay in that bar for too long :) Sorry you were'nt well dont need that on holiday ....

Just an idea is your air conditioner causing your flu symptoms

We been ill on holiday but never in the USA 🇺🇸 ours have been always in Spain last time in Tenerife but just had a ear ache in California and was seen by the doctor in LA so got meds but felt good the rest of the trip when was in California,as was there for 3 weeks in the USA 🇺🇸, when your next break in your motorhome is it April or July looking forward to your next trip , I going away soon to Spain in 2 weeks to Alicante want some sun ☀️ myself for a winter break . Hope you feel better did you have the flu . I am planning Florida trip in 2025. For probably 2 weeks .
