Lmao this build honestly feels like Sadako's true potential. Forcing the survivors to actually care about their condemned stacks and causing hell to get gens done as they need to focus on picking up. As you said a mix fo slugging and not may make this even more challenging for them. GGs

I think STBFL is important for this strategy to prevent what the Yui did where they’re able to deposit tapes in your face. Also Jolt is great because it regresses gens without you ever needing to hook anyone.

The strat with going for condemnation is actually making sure as many of the TVs as possible are turned OFF. If all TV are constantly off, then survivors can never take a tape. If survivors can't take tapes, they can't remove condemnation. So maybe change thana to discordance, spam the teleport until all or most TVs are off, and only then use the iri tape to turn them all back on and then teleport again. You can also teleport to a TV that a survivor is in the middle of interacting with, and it interrupts them and prevent them from taking a tape.

Using hoarder will tell you when they have the tapes. When I go for condemn kills I run Hoarder, Franklins, STBFL, Mindbreaker. Addons I run are the 12% faster condembn progress and heal transfer. Mindbreaker just for chase, Franklins for medkits - can swap out for ruin or slowdown if none in lobby, Hoarder will tell you when a tape is picked up and you can tunnel them a bit. Easy 2-3 kills most of the time. If you want to sneak condemn on them can swap out the 12% add on with either addon to turn on tvs faster too. Edit- Hoarder is confirmed bugged by DBD for Sadako right now but will work once fixed.

Reds Gaming Gears has a similar strategy with Sadako, where he only hooks one survivor primarily and slugs to build pressure for the first part of the match, I suggest you give him a watch to learn more on its effectiveness

Yep, Sadako is a solid slugger. Some things you can even try to vary this up - Obviously if you compromise a bit and hook, say, one person out while slugging everybody else that's probably a bit more efficient than slugging everybody and doing literally no hooks. And that second game in the video for instance Tofu had three slugs at one point, he could have easily hooked one of two to increase pressure even more, especially if he could hook one survivor three times in a row. Enduring + Spirit Fury is good but honestly you could replace those with just about anything you like to play with and do well. Especially since you're doing so much slugging, some other things to try could be - Infectious Fright: it's a ton of tracking info every down. If someone screams you chase them, if nobody screams you teleport to a gen farther out and probably get a hit - Knock Out: Not only are they gaining stacks when they revive someone, but with this it takes them even longer to actually find the dying survivor in the first place to heal them, increasing the slowdown and pressure from the slug. - Deerstalker: This is one of my favorite slugging perks personally. Not only do you never lose track of someone you've downed either because you misremembered where they were or they crawled off somewhere, but it also indirectly helps you keep track of watching for other survivors coming to revive that slug. - Nurse's Calling: Again, if you want to track survivors who are healing each other this is probably the go to perk. - Deathbound: Like Tofu says in the video, if they heal each other more than 32 meters from you then you immediately know where they are to teleport to them. Combined with Infectious Fright and/or Nurse's Calling and you'll probably detect anybody that heals anybody else for most of the match. I do think Thanatophobia and Corrupt Intervention did a ton of work in this build as well. Thanatophobia gave a ton of slowdown both matches, and Corrupt gave Sadako a lot of extra time in first couple of minutes to get stacks on people and down them without losing too much gen progress. Hypothetically you might be able to replace either of these with, say, chase related perks like Enduring and Spirit Fury to help get downs even faster, but this seems like a really solid match with this style.

To answer the confusion about the end of the first game: You caught the David picking up a tape, not inserting it, so i stead of him having just lost a bunch of condemn, you found him when he was even more vulnerable. Since he never got to insert it, it ticked up a stack during the final chase. Also yes they can insert it at an off TV since the TV they need is static and chosen when they take the tape, but they can turn off other TVs if theyre willing to get more stacks

I like using the purple add on that starts everyone with a tape with ring drawing and slug people, so much fun. Reds Gaming Gears has a great build for this.

Honestly the add on that makes survivors carry a tape in the beginning is probably the quickest way. They either have to get rid of the tape and not do gens or keep the tape do gens and become condemned early on

I can attest that ring drawing is by far the best add-on for getting people condemned. I got to 5 stacks from healing people, and then I grabbed a tape which got me to 6, and then the Onryō teleported near me getting me to 7. I was still close to getting the tape in the TV, but balanced landing didn't proc and I got mori'd. I think it's one of her stronger add-ons as long as there are no boons, but she's already not being played by a lot of people.

Enduring spirit fury aren’t as good in this build because during chase you’re usually constantly teleporting to the TVs trying to condemn during chase

Honestly, looks like a solid build. I'd probably go with Infectious Fright so you can find other survivors more easily, Call of Brine or Surveillance to find survivors on generators, Surge to apply pressure to gens without having to kick them, and maybe Lethal Pursuer to get things going right out of the gate.

It'd be cool to see this build again but with Deathbound and STBFL instead of Enfury, which unfortunately only proc'd once over both these matches. I'm afraid if this works out well enough this could legit be a new Onryo meta, like how Pinhead's playstyle evolved into his box-hunting meta with Hoarder's and such.

Yeah the thing about this strat is that it smothers the survivors and no matter what it feels like their chances of winning gets lower and lower as time goes on, kinda makes them feel like their actions are useless but this strat is very strong!

FYI: This is the best way to play if you really want to win with sadako, not pip. It’s also not the most fun to play against, as slugging is pretty dull. Use this if you’ve been on a losing streak, your mmr will be low enough for minimal counterplay! Very creative idea, never seen anything like it on other killers.

This build reminds me of a match Ohmwrecker had recently against a Sadako. She would leave slugs on the ground and she had the perk where survivors cannot see fallen teammates unless they are close. So most of the survivors just died of blood loss. Very entertaining match but probably not fun for the survivors.

I think this build needs some info perks on where the survivors are. Stbfl will be great as well chase-wise

Tofu use STBFL and keep track of people with tapes. If someone has a tape you just have to patrol them harder and keep track of what TV they need to get to. STBFL will prevent them from just dropping off the tapes/punish them severely for doing so.

Honestly Knock Out might be a good perk on this too. Even tho it makes Slugs harder to find so the condemn spreads slower, it's a bigger chance you just kill from slugging lol

Slugging is almost the same as being on a hook, timewise. Would you say being hooked is more fun than being on the ground?

You could choose 1 survivor to hook instead of slug any time you down them so just getting rid of stacks won't be enough to survive.

When I went up against a sadako with the ring drawing it was a mess. Jane was running her for forever so we got most of the gens done, but after Jane was unhooked she got fully condemned (and at this point everyone else was a bit condemned too) and we all were taking hits for Jane until she put the tape away. I don’t remember much other than for the last couple gens the killer had a ton of pressure and we couldn’t get gens done and kept healing each other. People got fully condemned very often and I had to put a tape away in the killer’s face once at the cost of a hook state. At the end they got the gens done but I was caught fully condemned and died. Same with Jane.

I wish there was a score event for giving people stacks with TP.

A build I use for this is, Lethal pursuer, STBFL, Knock out, and corrupt, and just slug everyone since everyone will get condemned everytime they get picked up

Wow what's crazy like last week or so, I faced a sadako that was actually doing this on lerrys, they were slugging and teleporting like crazy and it took me a good minute to realize they had this add on, but I think two of us got out.

i have a question. Does the add-on just add a stack to others or does it transfer the stack. Like, does it remove the stack from a survivor and move it to another survivor or does it just give the healer an extra stack?

Maybe run Franklin's as a way to knock someone's videotape off and also get rid of any medkits that could put a wrench in your tactic?

I don't think deathbound would work with this build. In theory it's a great idea, but in execution when a survivor picks up a downed survivor they won't trigger deathbound because they haven't healed the other survivor the equivalent of a full health state. Because the downed survivor likely has recover process, the healthy survivor would need to do more than pick up the downed survivor in order to trigger the perk.

May want to run Franklins to be able to drain medkits to encourage team heals and Knockout to get a bit more slowdown out of your slugging.
