To answer the question about Ayato's trailer, the general idea with the commissions in Inazuma is that there is a Shogun and 3 commissions that rule over different matters (military, economical and cultural stuff). I do get quite a bit of the Meiji vibes from the whole thing, but it also has the Sengoku period vibes in my opinion (with the Shogunate vs the rebels on Watatsumi).

You were kind of spot on with the Meiji Restoration allegory. Inazuma is a closed off region, like Japan was. The god/ruler of Inazuma is the Raiden "Shogun". The Kamisato clan helped open up Inazuma's borders again, and basically ended all of the Shogun's plans.

10:53 there are mainly 3 types of support characters, as you said - a healer - a shielder, and - the 3rd one is a buffer/debuffer. Kujou Sara is one of the best example of a support char thats only a buffer, she doesn't heal and doesn't have shield, but at C6 she's one of the best raw electro buffer/"support" in the game. Some support chars possess all 3 types, example Diona, who shields, heals, and buffs chars if her shield is active (reduce stamina consumption & increase movement speed), plus at C6 she buffs EM with her burst. Though these classifications are not official, its mainly just to make it clear for the people playing the chars what their roles are in a team.

This was a great video! I loved both of your reactions to Yoimiya, Alhaitham and the Fontaine characters because they’re definitely my fave characters. Also +1 for acknowledging Chongyun in Shenhe’s demo because he still has one of the best designs out of all the 4 stars in game.

13:44 i like his “gameplay” and yes he is strong in what he does but……. He a solution looking for a problem to fix. Or he just lacks that little bit to become very viable. He is one of the best AoE geo damage dealers yet there is no scenario where that is absolutely necessary. His AoE geo damage could’ve been great for shield breaking yet his E does not activate when damaging shields. He has a very consistent rate of Crystalize creation yet crystalize is bad (except for navia tho this comment is pre release) and he doesn’t scale of off EM. He buffs EM and doesn’t interfere with reaction that much but his buff isn’t large enough to subsidize him for nahida or sucrose. He pairs amazingly with venti, sucrose and kazuha yet they have no reaction with each other and most floors aren’t just small groupable monsters. I do use him a decent amount in a Tighnari spread team with Baizhu and Yea Miko. They both make great use of his EM buff in the right rotation and all 3 characters have a fairly decent range so its a very safe team. Rotation: Tighnari E, Yea 3xE, Albedo E Q, Baizhu EQ, Tighnari CA 2/3x depending on how much time you have left then EQ. Yea miko Q into 3xE. His EM buff is nice but its not the end of the world if you don’t have it up in time again. I use this rotation against single target bosses. This team’s rotations are very flexible. In multi wave I rarely use his burst. Only when i have a few seconds of cooldown on my Tighnari and Yea Skills just to get some damage boost. 29:23 Claymores technically isn’t a subgenre of swords. Thats the same as saying the Messer or the sword breaker are a sub genre of swords. The Messer is a specific type of sword forged by knife makers in Germany. Messer means knife. They were called that for the handle. The sword breaker is a special parrying dagger made to mostly be strong against thin blades like the rapier. The claymore is specific type of two handed long sword originating from Scotland. If i recall correctly its one of the largest long swords. Any larger and it comes into the category of the greatsword. These two are often confused in the common media. 56:40 i love that they made Cyno a cliché and a middle finger to popular tropes. 1:16:14 As someone who has Baizhu, he was designed with a Damage dealer + Healer in mind, gaining extra Dendro DMG bonus and his main weapon increasing his damage bonus based on his HP, unfortunately the devs thought he’d be busted or something so they Xinyan’d his kit and made it all scale with ATK whilst his healing scales on HP and further Xinyaning him because this is fixed at C6 HOWEVER, currently he is not one of the best healers in the game, he is THE best healer in the game, very solid single target healing on his Burst and a massive teamwide heal on his skill, as well as periodic shields somewhat alleviating one of a Healer’s biggest problems, no interruption resistance, his healing combined with his Dendro Element makes him the best teammate for Furina, who obviously he gains stacks from HP changes (Baizhu changing your team’s HP a lot) but the resulting Bloom Cores generate and deal damage to the active character, further generating more stacks for Furina, he’s the best healer in the game in the teams where it’s most necessary
