Dude, that thing sounds amazing! You can't go wrong with a 390. That engine will never die on you.

Starting to build a 360 75 f 100 model bone stock one owner, don't have clue , first time build, have it, an 80 model f100 , an just purchased a 74 f100, I appreciate the time you put into this and explained what I understand, but not confidently have done on this level, thank you bud,

Makes me miss my old 390 days back in the sixties and seventies. We had everything we needed and gas wasn't made from lawnmower grass

My dad and I fixed up a 78 with a 390. When we first got it we had to stop at service stations to check the gas and fill up with oil. Ran strong but dang it burnt some oil. Wasn’t long we had it right. Loved that old truck. Miss you pops.

Awesome job! This mopar man is absolutely loving this build. I was thinking the distributor must be 180 out about the same time you said it. Anybody that claims they never put one in 180 out or mixed up a couple of plug wires is either lying or never turned a wrench in the first place.

As a life long Ford guy(im 61 yrs old) this is one of the coolest video build collections Ive ever Seen. It is VERY realistic and thats why. Ive been there and done that. Love how he hangs in there and never gives up. This is way harder then he makes it look. One mistake and you flush thousands of dollars in time and money down the toilet.

Mistakes are easily done, it just happens after you've just done a thousand other things, at least you didn't panic and went over stuff. Sounds great 👍🇬🇧

I learned about 180 in 180 out with my father back in the early 80s when he was rebuilding a 351 w in our 77 econoline. yes brings back memories. Great diagnosis.. but you knew that. Great job.

Fwiw Crower made a bunch of great cams for those ford trucks, most had campers on them back in the day.
