If you’re like me and you’ve tried everything to get your Ford 8.8 cross pin out, try the slightly more destructive method to get the job done.

After getting broken pin out , going to replace with a new stronger Pin that I will make vs the same pin that will shear off again the next time.

So I have 2 different trucks that both have a Ford 8.8 rear end. My 2WD Ranger with a stock 2.5L and my 4WD F150 with a 4.6L V8. This was filmed on my F150 which has been experiencing a bearing failure that I’ve been putting off because I ran into this snapped cross pin bolt last time I took it apart. Today I finally decided the bearing was getting bad enough that I needed to get at it one way or another and this is what ended up working. The F150 is closer to a daily driver.

Funny, I had this exact problem on my Ford Ranger and just ended up swapping the entire differential.
