Ford Automatic Gearbox P0949 Auto Shift Manual Adaptive Learning Not Done FIXED!!!
Most of the automatic ford’s have gearbox problems, it’s a shame that they don’t have a recall on the gearbox.
However when a gearbox is changed or the gearbox control module is changed then this procedure needs to be carried out to ensure that the gear changes are changed smoothly.

Great video, my goes into safe mode, speed will not go above 20, comes up with a message transmission limited function.

Hi Sir, I have a Ford C-Max with the same gearbox. I have changed the clutch and solenoids, and the car runs normally when it is cold, but when the engine temperature reaches 90, a gearbox problem appears on the screen and lose reverse. It gives the code p2849-A0. Do you have an idea about the problem. Do it need changing the TCM?

Hello mate, really helpful Video. I’m having the same issue where the gear changes are not correct. I have the same code but not sure if I need to replace gearbox and clutch? Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you

Hi it’s quite tough to say really most of the time it’s the gearbox faulty and they need to be refurbed and then coded again.

Hi i need your help my honda vezel hybrid 2014 car showing p2788 code " auto shift manual adaptive learning at limit" but i dont see any sign in my dashboard and my car running complete okay and fine. only when we scan that time we can see this code. how i can erase this from my car. pls need urgent help

Hi, I need some advice please. I changed the clutches on my c max with powershift automatic transmission but when it is time to do the learning it is not concluded due to the error code p2849 " shift fork a stuck". What could be the cause? Thank you very much

Why did you press Yes,when i can clearly see it’s NOT an electronic parking brake. This galaxy fitted with mechanical parking brake . 🥴

Yes it was an accident I then went back onto it and pressed NO, as the machine will not allow you to continue if you press wrong button. Any ways thanks for watching my video and getting my advice.
