I was about $3600 with install 👍👍 ended up going back for a leaky axle seal , which they warrantied. No issues since

My 2018 expedition limited transmission was replaced at 82000 miles.. bad heat exchanger was causing temps of 250+ ruined my tranny

Dang that sucks !! I don't believe I ever got that high. I think I just wore it out without re-gearing.

Also, I have a 2017 stock 4wd Expedition XLT EL, what transmission temps were you experiencing? Mine seems to run about 180 deg (65 degrees outdoor ) and 200 - 205 deg (115 degrees outdoor)

Pretty much if you go straight to the Ford dealership. Which is recommended, that way you get an experienced Ford transmission tech on it

Having my 2018 expedition limited rebuilt. I was quoted 7k (today is 1/1/2024 apple valley minnesota kennedy transmission)
