For oil, I only use Ford WSS-M2C934-B or better. I'm doing service on my Fiesta in the next days. Not sure if my sparkplugs are done yet, have to relook. Still waiting for cleaner before i can start. You made me confident that I actually can make it, even if I've never done this before. Wish me luck!

Always make sure the old oil filter seal didn't stay stuck in there before you put the new one in!

Excellent list of checks. Very similar to what I'd do, although I think you may be even a tad more thorough. Nothing wrong with that. It's good to inform the customer about issues that will be upcoming or other issues needed to remedy right away.

Hi, I’ve just purchased a 2018 1.1 zetec - I want to get a full service, but some garages offer 40 point, 50 point etc… around the same prices, would you recommend the latter and also is it best going to a small garage rather than a chain? As I thought sole traders/ family are more concerned with service and satisfaction? Many thanks 😊 btw this was an amazing video, !Kerry

How often would you recommend changing fuel and oil filters on 1.6 diesel Ford focus?

Even if those tyres that were low on tread had some more they are cracking and need replacing anyway

Do you believe in the whole supermarket fuel is inferior to like Shell or BP who claim to have detergents and extra cleaning properties and would you say it’s worth the extra cost too? Cheers Dave
@newcs55186 ай бұрын
All normal petrol/diesel comes from the same tanks in a refinery . Unless its the premium brands like shell v max

Would you be a fan of engine flush dave?
@davesterl4 жыл бұрын
aye ian have done flushes before, however regular servicing dont need it. Modern oil is the cleaner. Some cheap flushes are just kerosene which i dont use. The more advanced flushes have lube and detergent which can help but regular oil changes is the answer. cheers dave

@Solid Diagnostics I am not a fan of them I worked in a motor factors for 2 years and a customer swore bye them he was an motor sport mechanic and he used it all year round in his cars he said with hydraulic lifters you need tin oil too stop them clogging. I have been a mechanic all my life and never used engine flush he just set my mind thinking sure the oil would be like brake fluid there would be no viscosity in it ?

@Solid Diagnostics spot on and thanks for the info on the Fords
