I have been driving Figo Diesel for 5 years now (2016) - and it is the best purchase I have made in my life! It's a driver's car - delivers power when you need it as well as serves as a good cruiser on the highways. Ford's steering is really a BENCHMARK and every car should just follow the same. Hyundai, Kia as well as Tata have not been able to provide the steering feel and handling that this car gives. People who want an easy car to drive, pls go for Hyundai - this is a driver's car and its not for you! There is one BIG problem with the Figo. If you want to upgrade, you are gonna have to spend a LOT of money, because most cars in the segment above it dont even come close to its performance. I did a test drive of Harrier just today, and was heartboken to feel the torque steer whenever I tried to accelerate.

No hatchback comes close to Ford Figo diesel in terms of power and speed !!! I own a Ford Figo Diesel top variant and the performance is mind boggling !!! Baleno I20 sports skoda VW does not stand a chance in front of this beast.

I have now clocked 50k kms. Diesel Figo is a super star in its segment. First time car buyers, just try once a test drive and see i am sure you will feel difference with popular brands in India, revive its numbers in its sales. Small car, big engine. Value for money proposition. From my end, happy to be driving Ford.

I also own figo diesel. In this price segment no car even touch this performance. Punchy, smooth diesel engine also gives best mileage... after speed of 25 to 30 it is rocket on road....

I think I20,baleno,polo and jazz are different segment cars which are called as premium hatchbacks above 10.5lakh cars... Figo belongs to swift, i10grand, micra, tata bolt which are mid range hatchbacks segment cars...

I have a 2011 1.5L Turbo diesel ford Figo and it puts a big smile every time it goes above 1500rpm. The tyres Screeching is soo long that everyone around starts staring at you. that is the reason ford cars fell like family member. its so unfortunate that ford left india.

Things going for this car - cute looks, strong diesel, top notch safety package, good build and materials quality and fit and finish. Three things that made me disappointed, 1. Unavailability of rear door pockets ( how can they miss this? ) 2. Better music system, like the fantastic Harman systems in new gen Tatas. Seriously, how hard is it for a car maker to pair up with a audio equipment manufacturer? It doesn't have to be ultra premium brand like benz's burmester or something. There are several other good brands that they can reach out to, like JBL, Arkamys, Harman etc 3. Was anxiously waiting for Ford to introduce the fantastic SYNC3 system, disappointed to say the least.

Stereo quality in a car is also a function of its sound and vibration insulation throughout the body, including doors, etc. Having a fancy audio brand is useless without it. Kind of like how every crappy laptop tweeter is ''dolby digital' blah blah

@@NidalRashid Are you implying that the Tatas and the Hyundai's of now have bad insulation levels? If so, you are sorely mistaken, my friend. The difference in audio quality is obvious between the Figo and the i20/Verna/Tiago/Nexon. As you might already know the fact that south of 10-15 lacs, no car maker comes close to Hyundai when it comes to fit and finish and refinement levels. The audio department and the case of rear door pockets, both are a miss in the Figo, no matter how you try to look at it.

Both are same figo n freestyle almost gives same performance. The best thing i found on figo is its handling👌🏻top notch especially the steering power is nuts and superb compared to swift

Ford shud be forced to atleast give synch 3 system as added option! And as far as the car goes it is simply superb, no doubt! Fantastic cruiser hatchback, no other car can catch it due to its balance of power, mileage and driving dynamics(Even compared to higher segment cars!). This coming from a Figo diesel owner.

Yes better than normal polo tdi but NOT when compared to polo gt tdi which has 250 torque and 110 ps power.

@@ausfile111 figo TDCI already beat Polo 1.6 GT TDI in a drag race. Check the video of kkc on motive. Both of them closely matched in outright acceleration. Volkswagen however has advantage on in gear acceleration.

@Arjun P Nair Freestyle is a beast in every department but if you are talking about just highway driving then Figo Diesel would be my choice because of its lower ground clearance and an extra top speed.

Mohan Raj Yes, it has the new getrag transmission whereas older figo s had ib5 transmission. New one is fast and slick and has upto 40% less gearoil consumption.

Hi Faisal. Regarding the handling of this car, how good is the feel and feedback? I own a Punto and I'm addicted to its steering dynamics and high speed cornering stability. Can you suggest something that matches it? I am looking for my second car now. Either a Sedan, SUV or powerful hatch that has the same dynamics of a Punto (below 15 lakhs). Your suggestion needed please.

i have ford figo 1.5 diesal Titanium dec 2015 best performance car & this is my first car & i am satisfied my figo love it & say viewer buy figo diesal 1.5 its real fun to drive car not any hatchback car like this . (Ludhiana Punjab ) Bhagat Ford

If Ford could hv plonked this monster diesel engine in old gen figo.... it would hv been such a bliss for the enthusiast ....the old gen chassis +hydraulic steering and go kart lyk handling n dis diesel engine......absolute drivers cars it would hv been

It performs better.. has stiff suspension 190 mm ground clearance .. it just glides through rough road..
