With the fusion being a lighter car with a smaller turbo engine it shouldn’t take much to keep up with the 200. But you brought up the fusion sport which is literally a performance version of the fusion…

Best midsize car on the market EVEN IN 2019 even tho it’s discounted with its V6 9 speed real wood and tech features. They can’t be matched from 2015-2020 that’s crazy.

I have had both. A 2013 Fusion se with the 2.0 and now a 2016 Chrysler S 3.6 with Awd.The Fusion handled better but the 200 has better acceleration. The Fusion was starting to really shift hard. The Fusion interior is for sure more roomy. The 200 seems cramped to me. Both good cars in what's unfortunately a dying segment.

My name is Steve Rogers me having one with 120k miles I can’t relate to having “all sorts of issues “ but I do know every 2.0 fusion sounds like a river when its idling. Those engines are shit. I’ll taken my 200 v6 all day.

The six wasn’t exactly pulling tho... There was enough of a gap between the nose of the Fusion and the 200 which was most likely caused because of turbo lag. I drove a Lincoln MKC with the same engine and transmission They have some power definitely, but if you don’t launch the Fusion the right way, you’ll lose time on take off. If you mash the brake and gas in a Ford to build turbo lag, if you do it the right way and manage to trick the computer somehow, you’ll be able to get a pretty good launch. However, if you’re not paying attention and you just mash the gas and brake, the computer will cut power to the engine, because the car thinks the gas pedal is hung from the brake and gas being mashed at the same time. If that happens, it will only extend the period of turbo lag this engine has until after 3,000 rpm

@@mrbigbigtoe I agree my 2.0L AWD can either have bad turbo lag on launch if not right. But once you know your gears it’s pretty easy to keep up with anything around 300HP
