Posting this in 2022: dude you are an absolute legend. I have a 2016 Fusion and all you need to do is pull fuse 32 (it’s a red 10A fuse just below a blue 15A fuse), make sure it isn’t blown, then wait a minute and put it back in. When you start your car you shouldn’t be getting the media/phone button of death problem anymore and do a master reset in the phone settings. Thanks again bro

I had pulled the radio fuse and no luck, figured it was the other one, but was not happy about crawling back under there, but I just did it and it worked! Fuse was still good as well, but boy would like to give a piece of mind to the team that put that box in such a hard place to get too. Hey Jon! Thanks so much for the video, it worked great for my 2015 fusion SE! The dealer had me quoted for almost $1,300 to get the bluetooth fixed but this worked just fine!

THIS WORKS for the 2016 as well. THANK YOU SO MUCH MAN!!! ubering w/no bluetooth was messing me all up. i'm renting this and i tried everything after it randomly cut off on me. you have to be super careful not to lose the fuse. the numbers are difficult to see but are on the black plastic next to each fuse. it'll take a couple sec to reboot, but unless your fuse is blown pulling it in and out forces a reboot. in this case even tho i had erased all the previous renters devices, i suspect it could've glitched cause it's been thru so many. in any event this worked on a 2016; saved the day!

Worked on my 2015 Fusion with the cheap sync radio. Thanks. Very easy. The hardest part is contorting my body into that position to pop the fuse out and put it back.

Jon. Thank you SO MUCH! My Bluetooth got hosed on my 2015 Ford Fusion "SE" Hybrid. I needed to pull fuse 32 from panel under dash, as you show in the video. Then, I needed to do a Master Reset (under Phone > System Settings > Advanced > Master Reset). Until I did both actions fuse & master reset BT still did not work. Saved me a bunch by not going to dealer.

Thank for the tip. It works the 2015 as well. I unplugged the fuse and put it back in after 25 sec’s connected with no problem.

Hey man, my car is Fusion 2014 and had a same problem, the Sync system BSOD. Yes, by removing the fuse No.32 and put it back definitely worked!! The fuse box location is as same as your car, 2013. Thanks so much uploading this video!!!

Thanks for the video. Ford/Microsoft really should have come up with a fix for this s**t! I bought a 2013 Fusion Titanium a month ago and the SYNC 2 (MyFordTouch) system had all sorts of bugs. After doing some research I found that the original owner never updated the SYNC OS. I downloaded the files for the latest verison from the Ford website and did it myself using a flash drive. It fixed most of the issues, but now the BT Music issue has returned. It sees our phones, we can make/receive calls, but we just can't stream music anymore SMH. I'm not sure how most of you are contorting your bodies to get to these fuses. I gave it a shot and hurt my back for the effort. Probably easier just to disconnect the negative battery terminal IMHO.

Wow, you are the fucking man! Sync media audio wasn't working all of a sudden on my 2016 fusion. Popped open the panel to the left of the steering column, pulled out the 10fuse for 32, checked if it was blown (it was not). Waited a minute and put it back in. And well dam, it worked 😁 Thx much appreciated.

Keep the radio code handy and just disconnect and reconnect the battery. The access is much easier.

So I've removed the 10a from my 32 and it only cut my radio off 🤦🏾‍♀️

Side note before reconnecting your phone remove the car from its memory and power cycle it.

I also have a 2013 Ford Fusion with the generation 1 SYNC. I'm having a problem finding the proper format to play my USB. Right now I have FAT32 but it's telling me that's 'unsupported or unrecognized' whatever it said. I thought being the first generation of SYNC it had to be the FAT32 and not the exFAT. You have any words of wisdom for me? Thanks.

Have a 2015 fusion tried removing the fuse but question is are you doing the pull and replace with the engine running?

So did you put a brand new fuse in it? Or did you just unplug and plug it back in and SYNC reset?

My problem is the bluetooth still works but for some reason there is static on my on the sync and bluetooth. Other than that, radio comes through with crystal clear audio. Anyone know a fix for this?

Somebody help, I removed the fuse 32 and 32 for half an hour and then insert again , the issue still remains I don't have access to the sync menu or voice. All started when I was trying to update the sync through USB , problem was I turn off the car before the update was completed, any ideas?

Hey, as helpful as this was, did anyone realize you could have just disconnected the battery? A whole hell of a lot easier than getting at those fuses, especially since I dropped one while twisted myself into some kind of circus freak to get my 6'1", 240 pound frame on the floor under my steering wheel & then "threading my farmer hands through Ford engineers ridiculous lack of concern for serviceability. Just to give you an idea of how bad it was, I heard a kid ask, "Are you I.k. mister" apparently after listening to me cuss & swear.

That didn't work for me, I unplugged fuse 32 waited for about 5 mins then plugged the fuse back in and nothing!
