Ford HF35 eCVT. Aceatsa este cutia de transmisie cu care sunt echipate unele automobile FORD. Si anume automobilele hibride, Ford C-Max, Fusion si MKZ produse intre anii 2013-2016.

Good evening. Thanks for the video lessons. Can you please tell me the difference between the automatic transmission between the 2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid and the Ford Fusion Energy Plug-in of the same year? Or are they the same and go against each other?

Outstanding video on Ford HF35 eCVT transmission. I have just bought a 2014 Lincoln MKZ 2.0L FWD Hybrid with The Hf-35 xCVT trans and it is leaking out about 3qt, but the car drives great. Because of the leak the Transfer-shaft assembly (EG9Z-7H348-A) bearing and cup should be shot, but those parts only cost US $410 right now. Is it possible to put a rebuilt used HF35 eCVT or even a newer Ford 2017-up HF45 eCVT and not have to reprogram the power transfer unit? The only cable that comes out of both trans are the hi-voltage drive/regen motors and the low-voltage data cables (that reads both motors temp and speeds). From what I have read; the HF35 has no brain or need for VIN programming itself. I ask because my locale Lincoln Dealer just quoted me US $10,000+ to replace the HF35, recalibrate the Lane-departure system, and realign the wheels. Since I was not born yesterday and value my family's treasure, I figured I would ask an expert. The car is beautiful and still drives it just need seals and bearings but no trans shop in or near Chicago will touch these eCVTs due to Ford's EV service equipment requirments (an anti-static bay). I have removed FWD trans and replace clutches before and I am thinking of removing and rebuilding my own trans because of inflated dealer costs. Any help you can provide would be much appreciated "for eductional info only... lol". Thank you for your time, sir. BTW: Can you do a trans removal video on the HF35 and HF45? That would be amazing.

About HF45, I can not give you any advice because I have no experience with it. About HF35, YES absolutely. Inside transmission are a few themperature sensors and two resolvers. There is no electronic component that store VIN or serial number of transaxle.

@@fordc-maxplug-inlife9171 Question: On the HF35 trans when replacing a DG98-7000-EC transmission with a "Used" Transmission, there should be no need to reprogram the trans-control-unit... right? I just need to make sure the FHEV 2.57 matches on both trans? My concern is that the HF45 trans has a different timing and is there by incompatible with the earlier HF35 TCU. But putting the HF45 aside, It looks like removing the 175lb HF35 trans from my 2014 Lincoln mkz is as easy as: (1)removing the 12V battery, (2) Pulling the HV disconnect, (3) putting the front of the auto up on jack stands and removing the front tires, (4) draining the trans, (5) removing the HV trans lines from both the trans and the TCU and cover the holes with duct tape, (6) removing the trans cooler lines, (7) supporting the ICE, (8) support the trans with a trans jack, (9) remove both drive shafts, (10) unbolt and drop the trans. Did I miss any steps? My plan is to try to inspect the trans and either rebuild the HF35 eCVT trans or buy a used trans and inspect then install it. The black data connector on the front of the trans that has, what looks like, 26 small wires coming out of it. Maybe I under estimate Ford's ablity to complicate simple data ports. Maybe Ford put a simple ID chip in the connector to limit peoples ablity to swap transmissions. It just seems like way too many wires for two speed and temp sensors. Trying to make it work in Chicago. Thanks

sorry for late answer. On c-max the transmission can`t be removed with engine mounted on frame(lack of space), 1remove transaxle with engine and after transaxle from engine. There is no any chip in connectors. As I mentioned, in hf35 ecvt is only two resolvers and 3 themperature sensors and gear position switch. If your transaxle is in bad condition, by another one with guarantee or if it can not be with guarantee open it and make an inspection to be shore that all componets are in good conditions (if you open it replace filter and pump) also pay attention to pump drive gears. good luck

How did you pull out the stators ? Just disconnect the wiring and then tap on the housing ?

Yes. Be careful not to damage the copper wires.

@@fordc-maxplug-inlife9171 great thank you. I will do the work this week. For the bearing races I plan on welding something on them and use slide hammer to take ‘em out. Do you have suggestion for proper tool to pull the races out ? I have 4 Fusion / c max vehicles ( 2 plug in 2 hybrid )buying the proper tools will be good investment Thank you for the videos

I have a 2012 Ford Fusion hybrid with 200,000. Very minor issues just doing regular maintenance, never knew the transmission fluid needed to be changed though, should I not take the risk to change it, seems too late. Lmk your thoughts, thanks.

if there are no noises from your ecvt, then just check the fluid level, add fluid if necessary.

Salut, eu am obiceiul cand se pornește automobilul (Ford Fusion PLUG IN) pe baterie dimineața să apăs acceleratorul și să pornesc motorul pe benzină. Automobilul e în parking, e bine ceea ce fac? Multumesc anticipat.

Salut. Tehnic, in cutie nu se intimpla nimic neobisnuit. Daca bateria ar fi fost la min din capacitate, "creerii" masinii orcum ar fi dat comanda la pornirea motorului pe benzina, deci nu e nici o problema. Dar care este motivul ca apasati acceleratorul dimineata? Maisinile (multe din ele) sunt dotate cu un element electric de incalzire a antigelului pentru a face confortul necesar in salonul masinei.

nu cunosc. Pe modele anului 2020 si mai noi sunt deja alte cutii ECVT. Banuiesc ca deja sau luat in calcul si inlaturat problemele pe care le-au avut cutiile de generatii mai veche

Buna ziua. La mine tot se aude un zgomot anume la motoru pornit pe benzina. Daca problema e pompa de ulei e posibil de schimbat pompa? unde se poate de gasit pompa data?

Buna ziua. Mai întâi trebuie sa va asigurați ca într-adevăr e pompa sursa sunetului nedorit. După cum am menționat si in clip pot fi defecte axul si rotile dintate care pun in miscare acea pompa. Pompa noua se procura din state. Celelalte componente nu se vand separat. Componentele care nu pot fi procurate ca noi se cauta la dezasamblare auto. Sunt si in Chisinau si in Tiraspol cateva.

@@cezari22 doar cand se deschide cutia de viteze se poate depista componentele defecte. Sau, un mester cu experienta mare la asa cutii, care, auzind zgomotul carel face cutia poate intelege ce componenta e defecta. Eu nu cunosc asa mester. Dupa cum am spus, daca acel zumzait se aude clar de la cutie atunci cand masina sta in P si motorul pe benzina functioneaza, poate sa fie defect: rotile dintate care pun in miscare pompa sau axul care roteste pompa sau pompa sau carcasa din aluminui care fixeaza axul pompei. De obicei, daca sa ignorat mult timp problema, toate elementele enumerate mai sus trebuie inlocuite

Salut. Sunt o persoana privata si nu fac business din asta. Ce tine de cutia la mana a 2-s, poate fi "o mîță in sac", nu ai cum sa cunoști starea componentelor din interior pana nu o deschizi. Știu sigur ca in Transnistria se vând asa cutii, nu mai știu exact ... prețul lor varia intre 1000-1500 euro in dependenta de.....iata acele "DE" numai ei il știu, căci o cutie curata la exterior nu semnifica neapărat ca va arata super și in interior. Sfatul meu este sa scoți cutia ta și sa schimbi componentele defecte. Este o cutie simpla, nu este nevoie de un meșter super calificat. Daca te afli in Chisinau, la botanica in regiunea hristobotiev cu independentei este un mester care face asa cutii.

@@alinburnea2459 voi face un nou video cu codurile originale ale pieselor din cutie. Rulmenții, o parte i-am găsit in magazine specializate din Chisinau, o parte comandați. Pompa ulei și filtrul, din magazine online SUA. Nu prea găsești piese de schimb pentru aceasta cutie. Multe componente ale cutiei nu au fost prevazute pentru a fi reparate/inlocuite și nu se gasesc piese online, DAR totusi cate ceva se poate de procurat.
