Oh my gosh I have a 2009 ford explorer. I followed his steps and it worked. Saved me money from dealership. I had the no phone available problem, and it worked y’all! Follow his steps it will work! It also said no devices prior, Bluetooth not connected. But this man speaks the truth on how to sync without pulling out a fuse! Lifesaver sir. Thank you. I feel like I’m keeping up with the jones now!

My sync would not pair with my phone on my 2010 Ford Escape and I followed the instructions in this video and it worked like a charm.

This still works. Navigating Sync menu for basic Sync is not intuitive, therefore this is a great tip.

I bought a 2015 Ford Fiesta back in November my phone was sync to my car and after a week it stopped working. I can not get it to work, I don't want to pay money to fix something that I could fix given the right information. The phone button won't work at all and then when I try to do a master reset the it won't even let me do that the screen stays frozen on the sync message that comes up. I want to fix the issue. Since I got the car I have had to us an auxiliary cord now not even like that will it work. Please I need your assistance, thank you!

Mine stopped working, and the clean pair will not work. In fact, I don't get any media outside of fm/am and sat 1,2,3. Not sync media.

Casey Pendleton I have a 2013 ford Edge Select, I just updated the latest software version 4.6 on 1/26/2024 my issue is when I place a voice command call I will say phone, call John Smith on Cell , Sync will give me 3 options on calling John Smith Cell, Home, or work but in my phone contacts it's set to Iphone also sometimes it throws in another name I did not ask for. Now after the dealership updated the software I deleted my phone , reset sync system. I then re-paired my phone to my car , downloaded my contacts and it still does the same as before sometimes ? Any other Help would be appreciated

Pressing the aux button it try’s to open aux then closes and goes back to radio so I can’t access aux settings at all any help?

I just bought a 2016 Escape. I got the Sync connected with the bluetooth to my Samsung phone at the dealership. It lets me have a phone conversation through the speakers and stuff, it works fine. HOWEVER! I use google maps on my phone for gps/navigation. When I turn my car on, it MUTES my phone! Is there a way to keep my car from muting my phone? Thanks

Hi Casey. Good clip but I have a question. I own a 2010 Ford Edge, ~300Kms and still a solid car! A few days ago I slept in my car on a very cold night for charity. Several of us did it (cars off!) to raise funds for the homeless. Around 3am I turned the seat warmer on to keep that important area from freezing. I made sure all else was off. In the am I had to get my battery boosted to start the car. Everything is fine except for my handsfree entertainment system function! There the 'phone' button appear dead - no response. When I push media then user device it says see your dealer. However, I once looked into getting my maps upgraded and was quoted $500(!!) because they had to order in CD's for this entertainment unit, I won't pay that. Do I press the factory reset function or ????? Any ideas would be most welcome. Thank you Spencer spcampbell@sympatico.ca

My 2013 Explorer panel looks nothing like that. I lost my phone connection when I did a SYNC update. I gained nothing by doing the update, and lost my phone connection. When I try to connect with SYNC I get a message "CONNECTION UNSUCCESSFUL make sure SYNC is turned on and in range. Well, I must be in range if I'm sitting in the car....But I can find nowhere that can tell me how to turn on SYNC!!!!

No matter what I do it always say Initializing BT please try again. I've researched on what tips I'm able to do and it seems like nothing works.

My aunt got a 2012 focus and the funny thing is right in the manual its telling me to do all this, witch is fine but this car got no bluetooth and no usb port and its telling me in the manual to plug it in the usb that dont exist, i swear im about to rip out the interior. When you touch the AUX botton it just says "active line in" it dont make sense, according to the manual it says AUX opens a music menu like you did, but it simply dont not exist in this 2012 ford focus, is there a wrong manual or something? So ignorant to ford, and ford dealerships honestly its not that complicated, but when 2 and 2 dont line up then it makes you feel stupid, so ignorant.

I have a 2017 F250 with nonTouch sync. I can pair BT phone (android version. 6.0.1) to use with phone calls. Most text message alert to the screen, when I click on listen, again most message speak to me. However I cannot play and music (stream online or SD card) through the sync device. When click media on the radio my only options are USB. Any suggestion?
