How to extract a transponder chip from Ford wireless key without any damage. No need of special tools.
In the video you can see a 1999 Ford Mondeo wireless key disassembly and chip extraction. Same technique may be applied for other Ford keys as well.

Hi brother, I have 2005 ford fiesta. And my key has nothing inside. No chip no nothing. Somehow pre owner made like this. I am looking to buy chip from Ali Express . But Because nothing in there. I do not know which type of chip suitable. 3 or 4 type of chip available in Ali express. Do you know how can ı find proper chip?

Hello. I beleive they are functioning the same. First of all you need to find the one the fits by its size / shape. There are round and square shapes. Usually they marked as 4D60.

@@edmade3654 Thank you for reply ! Mine is square one I believe. There is "ID60" "ID63(40bit)" "ID63(80bit)" available on the market. Whats the difference İf you know. İf there is no difference , i will buy either one of these. Thank you for help.

Hello, I have a 2001 Ford focus. Turning the key in the ignition is a bit hit and miss, it will not turn and I sometimes spend 5 minutes getting the engine started. I have bought a kit online with a new lock and cylinder and two keys (keys supplied with just the mechanical bit, not the button bit. I thought that I could just put the button part I already have onto the new key. I have been told that the pats chip is actually in the metal section that goes into the lock. I thought it was in the button bit like the one you just removed? Help!!

As far as I know there are two types of chips. One that you see in my video, and the another one that is a square solid plastic. Both are removable. I honestly don't think your chip is in the metal part. The square one is common in the spare key that has not buttons on it. Usually hiding under a blue or red cap. Some even put the chip near the cylinder behind the steering column cover where the chip receiver ring is.(not recommended) Usually used when a Start/stop aftermarket button is installed.
