With 15years behind me in the valeting trade from auction sites to dealerships to working on some very nice exotic sports cars ive decided that its time for me to go at it on my own. After watching countless amounts of detailing videos by yourself and other very well know people ive got to say that yours are probably the only videos that fill me with confidence and i thankyou for this 😁👌. After deciding i was going to get in to the detailing game i made a decision to start from the begining and up my knowledge and watch videos of how people did things when they started because being honest i cant afford the newest rupes polisher or best blower unit to help dry a car as im not at that stage yet but seeing you machine polishing this ST200 with a rotary polisher like i have has 100% boosted my confidence that it can be done. Just want to say thankyou Jim White for documenting your work and allowing other people who have the same passion and dream as you to be able to see these videos and have the confidence that anything is achievable 😁 keep up the great work mate 😁👌🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Wow, you've come a long way in both video production and detailing. You should share some of this as a throwback in a new Vlog based on some of the feedback you have gotten from people that want to break in. Let them know it didn't start with all kinds of high end cars and notoriety.

Mate, what an absolutely brilliant video that was! I also have an ST200 (which is how I found this video) and I am well impressed with your detailing AND video editing skills :) I have considered taking my car for a good detailing (but first of all it needs more important attention; like new brakes!!!) and if I ever decide to give it the full works you will defiantly be hearing from me :) keep up the good work! Im gonna go watch some more of your vids now :P +favourited

Old Post I know, but is there a reason why you don't still use a rotary? Surely, it's quicker than a DA?

Top job Car looks good, and nice end job... But.... if the car would have been cleaned right in the first place with an industrial steam cleaner, It would have got 100% of the dirt out without that silly clay. I had my Focus and phoned a "detailer" up and got quoted (over the phone) of like £500 to do it ! well after I fell over laughing at him I got some pads from the trade counter and some cut and some good resin wax and spent two full days on it and looked as good as that. and cost me about £85 all in..... but..... I did have to teach my self how to get the right way of working the mop and did spend 3 hours on the bonnet alone on the first time over and went over the car twice taking my time. It came up like black glass :) It is way to easy to loose a shine and a bit of a bind to get it right again.... But.... all a car is, Is just a work horse takes you A to B and on to C

Steam isn't going to remove embedded dirt; even good scrubbing won't. There's no subsitute for clay. Try a polish/buffing job like the one here before claying out dirt and enjoy your scratches.

all good but if your going to do a job do it propper, like take out the lights the grill and bumber's front and rear wheels off tiers off the rims, clean up in the wheel arch, and round the spenition mounts, up under the side skirts, but there rot all most ST's Ive worked on, also in the boot, DE-grease the engine and polish in there, i have done loads of mondeo's and know them very well, nice work but not even half if the job yet for me, i strip the car, even the strip on the boot, thums up
