Ranger is rated to tow a braked trailer up to 3.5t GVW, matched only by the Isuzu D-Max. We've driven it off-road on road tyres and it's quite remarkable how well it copes.

UK Ford Rangers are built in South Africa. Isuzu D-Max and Chevy Colorado are basically the same vehicle, the result of a joint-development deal.

My recently ordered 3.2 Ranger has a towing limit of 3500kg (7720lb) which is best in its class in the UK, usually in europe if you want to tow more, you get something with a 5th wheel kit or go for a 7.5ton semi truck. Is tow capacity of the F150 8000lb (3628kg)?

I own Ford stock and wonder why this truck is no longer sold in the USA. I want one but had to buy a Toyota Tacoma instead.

It's interesting that they chose to keep this truck alive oversea's while killing it domestically. Yes you can buy an F150 for about the same price, but not everyone want's a full size truck.

So a min F150 with a small v6 diesel for au market. Ford bring this to the US market.

They have now! No diesels though, but I prefer gas engines myself!

The European version has a higher payload capacity and towing capacity than the American one

@@beaviccoon470 so is the Australian vs different. Hard their can cross more water. And has heavy duty shocks

The Australian version is similar to the one in the uk as they both have leaf springs and can carry close of even over a tonne payload but the American version can only carry something around 500-700 kg payload and it can't tow as much and doesn't have leaf springs.

They won't bring it to america yet because it would destroy F 150 sales as well as the other mid size & full size trucks...

Range Rover is a type of Landrover and Landrover make pickups so basically you could say they sort of do

leave it to an American company to cater to foreign countries before their own. The only reason it didn't survive here is because it was too pricy. For the price of a ranger, you could get an f150

Drives better on the road, just as much interior space, the interior is not "Cheap", Looks better, this thing destroys an F150.

theres no chance, its not close to being as nice as the f150 it cant tow as much as the f150 and if you use your truck on a regular basis to tow and haul you wouldn't want something like that as well as the interior looks cheap. the only thing good about it is its diesel engines that many Americans and Canadians want

Take a look around the world nobody drives F-150s but North Americans.
