I was turned onto MMO by my neighbor back in 1975. He also turned me onto the Franz By-Pass oil filter. He used MMO in the gas tank and engine oil in both his and his wife's cars. The carb's looked brand new and they were 8 years old at the time. Never rebuilt. As he was doing a valve adjustment the day he told me about MMO the engines had about 60,000 miles. They were so clean. These were late 1967 cars, with inline 6's. So I started using MMO the next day and have used it up to today. Great stuff.

I have a 2015 Roush RS3 and a 2019 Mustang GT. And no typewriter tick or any issues at all with ticking, Day one I changed the oil and put Mobil 1 5w/30 both engines and did the proper Run in of the engines, the 2019 has 88k miles and the Roush has 60k miles. No issues. I change the oil every 6 months no matter the mileage

I have used the Marvel Mystery Oil Classic a couple tanks in my fuel only. Idle seems to be a bit smoother and I have picked up at least 0.5-1 MPG with highway driving. My local Autozone now has this new Marvel synthetic formula available. I may just be giving this a try as well!

Honestly, I don't have much of a story or experience with MMO. But I will! After hearing you explain it, i realized I was off on what I thought MMO actually did. I pictured it as a "cleaner", and almost counterintuitive to the additives oils contain. I was way off in left field!! It enhances the additives already in the oil. I'm doing an oil change tomorrow in my '15 250 6.2L with 3100+mi running SuperTech full syn. I'll add 22.5oz of MMO in tomorrow's oil plus my Cen-Pe-Co 5w30 and see how she feels! I have an older ford pickup with the 300 6 cylinder ( has the carb, just before they went to fuel injection ) and it used to tick some on startup and that was even with 0w-30 synthetic, the sound would go away pretty quick but imagine it was lifters that were sticking a bit. So I added some GM cam and lifter additive at an oil change and that certainly changed the noise to almost eliminate it so certainly there are additives that can help in situations. I've not used the Marvel myself but suspect it may help to correct some lifter sticking (not pumping up quickly ) issues as well, not the GM and Ford lifter failure issue as that is beyond anything oil can do !.

Boss Man thanks for your videos I have learned quite a bit from you and I've been changing oil for almost 40 years. I now include the MMO additive in every fuel stop and at oil change time. Not a large amount, just a small amount. But I have confidence in this product nonetheless. Even crazy wacky Scotty "clickbait" Kilmer has stated MMO is a very good product!

I've been using MMO for winter time cold starts for a good amount of time now. If you think about which parts in an engine the most beating, I would say that the lifters, cam and and stuff like timing gears, chains and phasers. So yeah, the viscosity of MMO tends to really get into very tight places that regular oil just won't with absolute ease like piston ring groves for instance!! Secondly, these cold starts in the winter time can be tough just because it's like getting a complete dry start under normal circumstances without MMO but, that's not always the case. I just use it because it's just like having an additional insurance policy on that motor!! I've used MMO as far back as about 1983. I'd even dare say that MMO can help keep you oil galleries from getting plugged up with goo! Back then, I used it in all 4 of my AMC Javelins and much to my surprise, the clattering of lifters just subsided quite well too!

Been enjoying your videos man. I bought a used BMW recently, 2011 E90 with their last naturally aspirated straight six engine. Its awesome and runs great. That said I know it must have sat quite a bit in the months prior to my purchase. I'd like to do some cleaning but I'm hesitant to use an engine flush. After seeing you and Project Farm endorse it (heck scotty kilmer likes it) I might just run MMO for a couple hundred miles before my next oil change. I might go a little lower than 10% usage tho

Ive never heard of adding MMO to car engines or fuel. New to me. On my 16 F150 5.0, with 77k, coupd i add X amount to fuel or oil???? Using Motorcraft 5w-20 SB now.

no offense but I will stick to just oil changes. I used to use Rislone years ago before we had such good oils around. Additives are so expensive today I just rather do more frequent oil changes, then buy an additive!

Please Rick tell me what 10% marvel mystery added how many ounces is it four quarts to one quart of marvel mystery when replacing the oil in your V6 or 1.5 echo boost?

I've been using Marvel Mystery Oil since I started driving over 30 years ago. In my GMC with the 6.2 and 8 quart capacity I add like 8oz to the 8 quarts. How much do you add? Edit - okay you use 10% so that would be almost 1 quart for my 8 quarts. So If I run 5w 20 I'd be safe to run 5w 30 and .8 quart of MMO to make it like 5w 25?

Just for the hell of it ....what happens if you put 5 qts of same weight but different brand oil?

Is mmo synthetic okay for ecoboost (2.0L) engines?

I just got a 2020 explorer last weekend . Today My headlights randomly stayed on after locking it up today Jus so happend to look out the window and they were still on after about 5-10 minutes of being in the house. I leave it on auto mode. Went back out and The orange indicater light was off on the headlight switch. Changed the indicator back to auto and the lights turned off and everything appeared back to normal. I looked on some forum and apparently this is a common issue. Do you know what is causing it and is there a fix? Thanks.
