And Hard as Nails Brady can be their modern day Watson, getting them out of real world trouble when they foolishly chase a rare science phenomenon down a London back alley.

+Ivan Mazepa I think Keith and Martyn should also get themselves into trouble, by testing their theories out with experiments that would go horribly wrong, explode, or make smoke!

This document is very interesting because both Young and Newton were right on the properties of light, that duality that later became important with quantic theory, the Standard Model of physics that has particles associated to waves and fundamental forces.

Not even remotely. The Wave Theory works just fine for predicting a wide variety of behaviors. For instance, flowing through optical fibers, telescopes, microscopes etc. Where the particle theory is useful is in describing solar cells, photoreceptors, lasers etc and even here we are talking of quantum particles, whose behavior is totally different from the corpuscles postulated by Newton. Newton was trying to put forward a particle theory for describing classical phenomena, which no one in modern physics uses.

I didn't know the prof was a Sir! That's more impressive than being a professor! Especially to American audiences! In most countries the professor is the head of school, in the US it seems any old lecturer is a professor. It's bizarre. The US education system always has been a bit surreal. Very glad I've never had to study there. Yet.
