05:32 The grass necklace is known as "Dubo ko mala". A special Garland used in special ceremonies. Usually worn by the Bride and Groom during their Marriage Ceremony and kids on their rituals like Pasni (rice weaning day) and Bratabandha (sacred thread wearing day). As the bermuda grass, which does not fade once harvested from the ground so wearing it also has a belief of longevity after marriage and child's life filled with good health without any fade too.

Hi Justina, Ok I did some research for you. That grass "necklace" that the couple is wearing is called a "Dubo Ko Mala". It is made from Bermuda grass which does not fade after it is harvested. Symbolizing a happy and healthy marriage. Btw, that's a very pretty Bindi you were wearing on your forehead. Ok, see you in the next one! 👋😄

Nice .. but not a typical Nepali wedding though !! Nepalese weddings are too loud .. noisy .. too many ppl .. looks like they limited number of guests due to Covid restrictions!!

Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims and Christians all live together in harmony, respecting each others beliefs and cultures in Nepal. This is one of the reasons I love Nepal and have visited many times.
