Living in Nueva Ecija I always wanted to experience a local rice harvest day! And since my Hungarian Parents are planning a farm business in the Philippines it got even more interesting to be able to get some insight on it.
I had the chance to see all details of the harvest and since it was exactly fiesta day, we visited a Carabao Race as well!

Oooh… Yes, the almost simultaeous fiesta time in the archipelago is on with lots happening in various other barrios (barangays), towns / municipalities and even cities. Love this content not just because it is dedicated to our hardworking gentle beasts, the kalabaws, but the interactions with the equally hardworking farmers. Love this episode's grounded-ness (despite the drone shots =P ), the colors, the authenticity of the scenery and scenarios; the landscape of what makes the flatness of Nueva Ecija-aka The Rice Granary of the Philippine-a big chunk of what has been called the "Central Plains of Luzon." The vast rice fields now brown from harvest, you can understand how devastating it is when these get hit the hardest during the typhoon season. Love the wide shots of the event lined with our farmers: Salute to them all! Thank you very much for the share,

If your loving parents want to retire and settle in the Philippines and plan to venture into farming, your province of Nueva Ecija is one of the best location. The province is suitable to a variety of crops for large or small scale farming and support mechanism is readily available at the Provincial Agricultural Office and at the Central Luzon State University. Have a good one Jonathan and Susie! Yey!

Yes I agree 😊 We are open to other areas, too but personally I love Nueva Ecija and definitely the bets for rice 🌾

Hi Susie and now you know how rice is being harvested but during early days, farmers worked on them manually with their bare hands under a scorching hot sun with the help of the beast of burden carabao. Without these farmers, we all can't survive in the Philippines.
@SusieinthePhilippines
@SusieinthePhilippines 3 ай бұрын
Yes that's so much hard work! I learned about that up in Banaue as they still harvest manually on the rice Terraces. So much hard work!

They say that farming is the backbone of the country’s economy because it's the principal industry that feeds and supports the health and well-being of its citizens. To venture into farming is a win-win situation for all stakeholders if the owner puts his heart and soul into it.

Good to know you and your parents are interested in farming. We need new blood to revitalize the agricultural sector of our economy! If the proposed amendment to the economic provisions in our constitution succeeds then there is a good chance for your parents to own lands in the Philippines! Wish you and Jonathan the best!

Susie, if your parents plan to retire in the Philippines and want to buy a farm, they should consider buying a rice farm. you said that your and Jonathan's relatives own a rice farm...Nueva Ecija is considered the main rice growing province of the country, thus it is often referred to as the “Rice Granary of the Philippines....and rice is a staple that every Filipino eats ....just a thought.

Nueva Ecija is the Rice Granary of the Philippines. The best place for you to have your rice produce or Paddy rice fields. There are many rice Farms, mango farms for sale in the province also in the neighbouring areas or other villages where you live. I've been watching vloggers videos and seen many for sale. I like hilly green areas . I have been trying to persuade my family to move to the Philippines too. We could be neighbours , if my plans going in the right directions. I like green pasturelands to grow fruit bearing fruits and be self sufficient . Grow veggies and herbs.✝️🌲🌳♥️🪴🏡🇬🇧
