Surprisingly, there is a dish here in Luzon (Pampanga) that is very much similar to your "Beef Sisig" you made. It's called Picadillo a.k.a Torta in Pampanga- Ground Meat in soy-calamansi, with potatoes and green peas. It gets topped with Scrambled Egg.

Who first made sisig? Lucía "Aling Lucing" Lagman Cunanan (February 27, 1928 - April 16, 2008) was a Filipino restaurateur best known for having invented or at least re-invented sisig, a popular Kapampangan dish in the Philippines and Filipino diasporas worldwide.
