Biryani is not a word Its every indians emotion 😂🤣 The biryani , pani puri , samosa are tastes varies from state to state In tamil nadu we have lot of varieties like bamboo biryani, vazhai ilai biryani ,bai veetu biryani ,dum biryani, thalapakati biryani and more varieties . Biryani comes from the Persian word birinj which means burnt rice and this Persian word in turns comes originally from the Sanskrit word "birih" which means rice. Biryani is very ancient and its original name was mansodanna and has mentioned recipe in ancient Sanskrit cooking handbook texts . . It describes the whole process is of dum cooking of rice, onions , Indian spices and meat with closed lid one medium low temperature.
