I fully agree that entry fees for the Khunjarab National Park of PKR 11,000/- for foreigners are very high and should be reduced to the normal range. I don't know if we have learned this behavior of charging foreigners more than locals. I feel that we should charge NIL from foreigners instead because a very limited number of foreigners visited Pakistan 1:100 ratio. So there is no business sense to charge them high. One more thing. Do foreign countries like the US, the UK, and Europe charge different fees for locals and foreigners? I think they don't so why we are?

tourists are charged everywhere, this is how tourism industry works, prices for locals are low because they are set according to the economy of the country, but people coming from abroad this price is nothing, hardly 40$, that beanie he wearing is around 40$ , other countries charge much more

Foreigners Do visit gilgit balististan through direct flight from Dubai to skardu and gilgit. Check the ratio again. And charging them high is not that bad just 40$ to 50$ . Having such views is a dream of every traveler. And they pay more in other countries.

We totally understand and accept as part of being a tourist we will pay a higher fee around the world for many attractions. Of course we do not not have a problem with this. Our point was the huge difference in price seemed pretty steep and nowhere else in Pakistan we felt this crazy difference of prices. A conversion we had with our driver and friend Tahir even they were shocked at the price increase from the previous year (5,000 PKR to 11,000 PKR).

@@AshAndDan. yes, that's because of the bad economy that country is facing right now. It's on the edge of bankruptcy. From past 2-3 years prices of goods have increased by 300% even the dollar rate has increased 2 times in just past 2 years. So that is why prices are high. If you are a local, the travel companies will charge around 80-90$ per person for a 4-5 days trip to hunza and khunjrab pass from Lahore. and this is not even cheap for a middle class person let alone lower middle class. so probably if you come here next year again, you might experience prices increase again

The price comparison for the entry into the National park is the same when I used to compare the tuition fee for International and British students in the Uk 🤣🤣🤣🤣. I also found it ridiculous , Huh, Got you, finally lolzzzzzzzzzzz, Enjoy the views guys. Hope that soup warmed up your chest.

Hunza in summer is more scenic. You visited urban Pakistan at the best possible time but Hunza/Skardu in March is toooooo cold. Nothing but respect for you for staying patient in this weather without heating

Agreed! It’s hard to visit all of Pakistan at the ‘perfect ‘ time. In the south it was perfect but obviously up north it was a little cold. Being from Scotland helped us deal with the cold at least 😂 thanks for watching.

I stayed at a hotel then named mountain refuge in 1997 at karimabad, the owner of this hotel and me became friends and we are still friends, he's running a crockery shop in aliabad now and his house is in karimabad, yesterday it was Eid here in Pakistan and I talked him on phone, I told him how hot is in my area nowadays and he told me we still need jackets and coats especin the evening haha
