After 65 years in service, the CTA has finally launched a major rehabilitation project on the Forest Park Branch of the Blue Line. The project is currently in Phase I, which includes line-cuts, shuttle busses, and other fun construction challenges.
While scheduling issues prevented this video from being released in time for the travel information presented to have been particularly useful to passengers, this video covers the history of the branch, some of the scope of the project, exact impacts to service and stations, and the travel alternatives that the CTA is providing to passengers.
