Forest Rangers Battle Canadian Wildfires

Жыл бұрынNYSDEC Forest Rangers were deployed to assist with efforts to help contain wildfires in Canada. The first Forest Ranger served as Crew Boss to a wildland firefighting team assigned to in Nova Scotia. Another team of seven Forest Rangers battled multiple fires in Quebec.

Why are we sending state aid to another country when that country has the whole country of resources to pull from?

@@jwalker4753 as someone who pays taxes in NYS I dont see the need to spend state or federal tax dollars for such a thing.

@@BS.-.- I also pay taxes in NYS. And I work for NYS. AND I care for the well-being of my neighbors. Some day those fires will be here in our state and I'll welcome help from our neighbors to the north.

@@BS.-.-Canada will pay for their salaries. When the same thing happens in the US, Canada send firefighters too
