Lara's cover was outstanding and she is one of my favorite singers. Forestella's version was also a wonderful, emotional performance. I love both interpretations.👍

I agree with you. Forestella based their version on one of Lara’s concert versions as an homage to her artistry , as I understand it. That’s why they kept certain feminine words as sung by her in her cover version. French is not entirely unfamiliar to at least 2 of them who are opera singers who were required to study classic languages, but for all four to sing with such emotion in a language they don’t speak is just phenomenal and to then move audiences around the world who also don’t speak or even understand French is absolutely a testament to their vocal ability , hard work practising and stage presence.

You are aware that the original is not by Lara Fabian, but by Serge Lama. Lara Fabian's version is also a cover. By the way, when Andre Lama heard Forestella's version, he contacted them and congratulated them on their excellent performance. He was delighted.
