Dedicated to all those I loved who have passed away, oh there have been so so many. Family, friends, those who filled the darkness in my heart and made it brighter. It’s a darkness that grows with each passing. Knowing your struggle is over, believing you’re now at peace helps, but doesn’t calm the thoughts or ease the pain living in my heart. Know that I love you all, and miss you so much … 😢❤️😢❤️

May I suggest that no matter how much you loved her she was not actually your "soulmate" or she wouldn't have left you. Maybe if you could let go of her in your heart you could be open to finding your real soulmate who wouldn't want to leave you. I hope you do find the love and happiness you deserve.

When she is gone, you hear her voice in every room, you breathe her perfume along the hallway from where she smiled and said goodbye, you picture her in the wind of the city and cry at the thought of her dying, you see her face on walls the floor, across the sky and in every other place, you marvel at the thought you once lived without her, until into her arms you fell, thankful to the angels she saw you and noone else, and you pray you never meet the one who makes you forget her, when she is gone. Euan Elliott. 15th of October 2020. 12:37pm.

At the end of this month, it'll be 4 years since my husband died and transitioned into the light. I discovered that there's a distinct difference between moving on and moving forward. Sometimes, moving on can erroneously be interpreted to mean a new life, as if their love one no longer exists. Moving forward allows people/me to move forward with their love ones still of part of their/my life. All past relationships and experiences are woven in the tapestry of life. They shape our lives into the person we are at this very moment. We may be tempted, but the uncomfortable or painful threads of our lives can not or should be pulled out. It isn't beneficial. My grief journey is eloquently described in several of these lyrics. The final verse "My life will be forever Autumn 'Cos you're not here" reflects that parts of my life will be forever autumn. He'll always be me as I begin the next chapter in my life. How, can he not? His love shaped the person I am today and all my tomorrows to come. I choose to refer to him and all I love, as love ones. I bristle when I hear or read loved ones. It's the past tense. I still love him, as well as my other love ones, living and dead.

This is Justin Hayward and The Moody Blues at their best. Other than Night's in White Satin this song is probably my second favorite tune by them, although it sounds kinda crazy listening to it without the narration of the legendary Richard Burton from the War of the World's album. I believe if I'm not mistaken The story goes Jeff Wayne who was the creator of the War of the World's album, which I think is the best rock opera other than The Wall by Pink Floyd, wrote this song then gave it to Justin Hayward of The Moody blues and said you guys record it. To me it's always sounded great either way, straight off of The Moody Blues album or in the War of the Worlds production being narrated by Richard Burton......excellent song...... excellent 👌👍

Journalist The summer sun is fading as the year grows old, And darker days are drawing near, The winter winds will be much colder, Now you're not here. I watch the birds fly south across the autumn sky And one by one they disappear, I wish that I was flying with them Now you're not here. Like the sun through the trees you came to love me, Like a leaf on a breeze you blew away... Through autumn's golden gown we used to kick our way, You always loved this time of year Those fallen leaves lie undisturbed now 'Cause you're not here 'Cause you're not here 'Cause you're not here Fire suddenly leapt from house to house. The population panicked and ran, and I was swept along with them, aimless and lost without Carrie. Finally, I headed eastward for the ocean and my only hope of survival: a boat out of England. Journalist Like the sun through the trees you came to love me, Like a leaf on the breeze you blew away... A gentle rain falls softly on my weary eyes As if to hide a lonely tear My life will be forever autumn, 'Cause you're not here 'Cause you're not here 'Cause you're not here As I hastened through Covent Garden, Blackfriars and Billingsgate, More and more people joined the painful exodus. Sad, weary women, their children stumbling in the street with tears, Their men bitter and angry, the rich rubbing shoulders with beggars and outcasts. Dogs snarled and whined, the horse's bits were covered with foam, And here and there were wounded soldiers, as helpless as the rest. We saw tripods wading up the Thames, Cutting through bridges as though they were paper. Waterloo bridge, Westminster bridge, one appeared above Big Ben. Ulla! Never before in the history of the world, Had such a mass of human beings moved and suffered together. This was no disciplined march, it was a stampede, Without order and without a goal, six million people unarmed and unprovisioned driving headlong. It was the beginning of the rout of civilization, of the massacre of mankind. A vast crowd buffeted me towards the already packed steamer. I looked up enviously at those safely on board... straight into the eyes of my beloved Carrie. At sight of me she began to fight her way along the packed deck to the gangplank. At that very moment, it was raised, And I caught a last glimpse of her despairing face as the crowd swept me away from her. Journalist Like the sun through the trees you came to love me, Like a leaf on a breeze you blew away... Through autumn's golden gown we used to kick our way You always loved this time of year Those fallen leaves lie undisturbed now 'Cause you're not here 'Cause you're not here 'Cause you're not here

Loss! That is what I feel when I play this, but loss of what? Sadly, deep loss can be felt for something we never had. We may all have a picture of what should be, however what is our reality may in fact be far from our wishes. Hence, we can feel loss for that which we never had but so desperately need.
