Od początku miałem wrażenie że to plugin do naprawy skompresowanego audio i dlatego sprawdziłem stare mp3. Pierwsze wrażenia są takie że faktycznie, to działa jak exciter i to całkiem przyjemny. W kilku przypadkach góra została odzyskana bez typowych artefaktów z użyciem EQ czy saturacji które się do tego zupełnie nie nadają (w skompresowanym audio). Prawdziwy test zrboię później na moich antycznych numerach które istnieją już tylko w formie mp3 128kbps (+koszmarna jakość produkcji). Btw. FiDef ciężko pobić bo marketingiem i ogólnym 'klimatem' celuje w fanów teorii spiskowych, fanów dr. zięby i innych foliarzy ;)

Thank you for this demo. I listened really hard and I could hear a difference, but the question remains: could I not achieve the same result through proper gain staging, EQ, and saturation? When we get into the realm of psycho-acoustics I become very skeptical.

i use this very good for many years also their EQ and Distortion is excellent ....now they have a reverb

I pretty much have the same feelings as you after listening to your demo. I could see one or two possible use cases, and this plugin is priced right that if/when those use cases come up I would buy it then, but it's not something I want to buy just to have. My use case would be if I was mastering an album and for some reason one of the tracks was recorded with a much more "in your face" sound than all the other tracks so I just wanted to quickly get that one track in line with all the others, this sounds like it would be a great way to do that quickly, and worth the price for the time it would save me in that case. I think knowing how the plugin works, I kind of expected poor results. If we take the sounds in a song that are normally the least significant and we increase their level without doing anything for the more significant sounds, then the song is going to sound out of balance. The artists and engineers who worked on the song allowed some amount of masking for a reason, and the lossy codecs do a pretty good job of throwing that information away very transparently. So I'm not sure what situation would have you wanting more of those insignificant sounds when every other part of audio production is getting rid of them.

I agree with the saturation point. It is actually described almost like a saturation plugin but maybe it could be used for a bar just before the main chorus as a sort of "blurring" or "softening" effect. Thank you for the video, Paweł!

This is an interesting idea. I think a better use than on a full mix would be on individual tracks. I do a lot of tracks with ambient guitars. So I think it would actually be a really cool tool on a source like that. Or maybe on a fx bus.

I think it's a cool sound design tool. Just tried it on different tracks and I think I will buy it :D

I heard the wet audio less transients and more crunchy noise, I don't think its better but ok everyone hear different

I think this is a tool one can work with. At least I would try it out...the other "Vodoo tool" you showed the last time seemed more "fake for the masses"...This one...I don´t know...I think it could be interesting....

Interesting.Paul if you haven't tried it out yet , there is a plugin called Ursa Boost . I find it a very interesting one. It also has a similar button using which you can lift low level detail (I suppose an upwards compressor in a way). Give it a try in case you don't know it, forget about it if you know it already

While I appreciate the video, and your honest discussion, I do find the clickbait-y title off-putting.

The problem is that your demo track is such garbage that I can't evaluate anything, I just want to put the volume down :)
