It's not that, it's more like I can see every flaw so I just constantly think. "I could do better". And with practice I do indeed do better.

Came out real nice Sully. You appeared to struggle a lot less than some of the others did. I liked how being a garden trowel you didn't need to bend up the back side as that's where the struggle lies. Functional and looks good! Kudo's BTW I was drooling over those axles laying on the ground next to your forge. Lucky you!
@TAS1303
@TAS1303 5 жыл бұрын
Those axles are headed to tings. Already annealed the ends even to cut off the splines and hubs. And thanks. There was some struggle but in the interest of saving time I did have to trim a lot out. I tried to bend the back up once.. that was the horn issue. That's why I flattened it back out and started over with a new plan

That turned out looking good. I didn't think it was going to be that wide at the beginning. Great job.
@TAS1303
@TAS1303 5 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I figured it would be a little wider than the original pipe due to less curvature but I wasn't sure if it was going to be proportioned right. I lucked out and it worked.

Most of us put the horn on the dominate side for this reason. I also like to walk around the anvil. You can also use your vise jaws as kind of a sledge like you used the slats
@TAS1303
@TAS1303 5 жыл бұрын
When I set up at home and work last year I had no solid answer as to what way it should go so I put both anvils in opposite directions to see if there was a diffy. Since the horn on a harbor freight boat anchor is fairly useless I hadn't run into an issue untill this very moment. And while filming I did consider unbolting it and turning it around but I decided to stick with and try to adapt to circumstances. I'll be picking up a mousehole in three weeks so I now know which way to mount it.

Yes. I can for sure move it away from the forge. In this particular instance I had to do the video right then. It had to be uploaded within 24 hrs and I started with 7 percent battery. Didn't have a spare extension cord so had to sit by the surge protector. I will in the future adjust placement. Thank you.
