My guess on the interesting history would be that when I think of 52100 I think of bearings, Sweden's bearing production during WW2 was also somewhat interesting in that they sold them to basically everyone.

the Swedes did indeed sell them to everyone back then as a neutral country, the workers often however sabotaged the batches due to go to Germany
