Forgot PIN or Reset PIN Option is NOT showing up in Windows 11 / 10 , this happens when you try to reset pin while struggling with "This sign-in option is disabled" error.
A few weeks ago, I uploaded a video about how to sign-in when sign-in option is disabled on your windows pc.
In that video, some viewers asked in the comments that the "Forgot PIN" or "reset PIN" option is not showing up for them, so stay tuned in this video I will show you 4 possible solutions to solve most windows sign in problems.

What if I don’t know my password as well? I’m stuck because I always relied on my fingerprint to log in. There was too many wrong attempts, so fingerprint is not an option anymore, now it is asking me for my PIN which I don’t remember. How can I get the fingerprint to work again?

Hi @user-bd3rg6nm6m, your fingerprint is not working, its not a surprise, technology can fail you at any time and when we have 100s log-in combinations its normal to get mixed up or forget your password, BUT there is always a way to get into your windows, every scenario there is a solution, I don't know how well you can follow my instruction if you think you want to give it a shoot then follow the steps below, >> you already know how to get to Troubleshoot >> Advance options >> from there >> select "Command Prompt" >> on that blinking cursor type C: (hit enter after every new command, don't add extra or less space) >> cd Windows >> cd ServiceProfiles >> cd LocalService >> cd AppData >> cd Local >> cd Microsoft >> ren NGC NGC1 >> exit exit to windows and restart your system again hopefully it should ask you to change your PIN, if yes add new PIN, I think your problem should have been solved, keep me posted, cheers

Hello @stella_steele, possibly its asking you the Microsoft account password and not the local sign-in key. let know if you only have a local sign-in then I can guide you to reset that LOCAL password/PIN. .

Hello @shimelisgetachew1105 Its possible "Troubleshoot" and "Advanced Options" are disabled in you system, if you have access to any other system, create a windows bootable USB and you will be able to access "Troubleshoot" and "Advanced Options"

Hello @muhammadsadam2.04 thanks for sharing your problem I belive you are using windows 10 even in Windows 11, some cases "Advance Options" are disabled, you can use windows 10 or 11 bootable USB to reach this screen and then follow the solutions 2 or 3. cheers

Hello @Aetherr142 well, its very simple, if you are watching this video on time stump of 2:06 I have mentioned to press 4 or F4. You can also read the information on the blue screen and press the number or F Number related to the choice of “ENABLE SAFE MODE” in this list. (Note! on some keyboards you may need to press “fn” key + “F4” key at the same time) I hope it answers you question!

Hello @teamrbg7854 , first 3 options are completely safe, the last and 4th option possibly can affect some files which are out side the default folders, files and folders which are in the root directory maybe effected.

Hello @pawarjigaming2.0 Sorry, I didn't quite understand where are you trying enring your email password, your email password will not work here, if you are trying to sign-in to Microsoft account, you need email address as user login(name) and a password you set for Microsoft account. Find correct password for Microsoft account, if forgotten, go to Microsoft login page in your browser and reset, BUT make sure you have the access to the email you have registered your account with otherwise you will not be able to get the verification email or code! Hello @lost-ev4is, Remove any additional USB device connected to your system, and hope it works! now you must be wondering why? the answer is; It looks like you have BitLocker encryption ON and BitLocker monitors the computer for changes to the boot configuration, when BitLocker sees a new device in the boot list or an attached external storage device, it prompts you for the key for security reasons. CATUTION!! If you do not have a working recovery key for the BitLocker prompt, you are unable to access the computer.

@@lost-ev4is I need more information about your PC? you Windows Ver? to find correct resolve, but for now I suggest you to try 3 different approaches; 1. Try to repair "Start up" 2. Use "system Restore" to previously known working state. 3. "uninstall updates" lets start with "Start up" Part A) Perform a hard reset, and here is HOW to do it, follow these steps. 1. disconnect all devices from your PC/laptop. 2. unplug Your PC from the wall plug, in case if its laptop remove the battery (if its removeable) 3. Hold down the POWER button for 15 seconds 4. Plug in to wall power (insert battery) and restart. if no luck follow the next step Part B) 1. Hold down the shift key on your keyboard before clicking the Power button on the screen. 2. Continue to hold down the shift key while clicking Restart. 3. Continue to hold down the shift key until the windows sky-blue screen comes up with some options (options will depend on your windows 10, or 11) 4. Look for "Troubleshoot" (may say "reset your pc or see advance options) IF Windows 10 Click Advanced options, Click Startup Settings, Click Restart Press (4) to Enable Safe Mode, wait while Windows 10 starts in safe mode. try to Log in, if you logged in simply restart your PC and problem solved, Windows 11 may have different options Click "Troubleshoot" on next screen click "Startup repair" and follow the instruction from above. if Startup repair did not work, then you have the options on the last screen here to choose "system Restore" and/or "uninstall updates" I hope this should solve you trouble, keep us posted. Thanks for sharing, Cheers If this did not work then to get to Windows Recovery Environment you need to create a Windows bootable media (A bootable USB). Which you can create as windows recovery media from any other pc and work it out. best of luck!

Hello @madhusmitamishra3461 WELL, WELL, WELL, I hope you did not permanently close Microsoft account from their website before converting your PC/system to a "Local Account" sign-in. Closing Microsoft online account doesn't tell your system automatically and needs verification via online portal when needed. If you have converted your sign-in to a local account, let me know and I will guide you here to reset your password/PIN

Hello @Abhishek_bro94 if drive D is hidden, its not a big trouble but if you say that drive C is also missing then it may be that the C drive is hidden or there is an abnormality in the virus or disk partition table on your system. You need to detect and repair the disk. I need to know if you can enter the system desktop and the system is running normally, because if you are unable to enter the system then there are different approaches to address this problem. So please give me some more details so I could suggest you the relevant solution!

@@RightSolutions when I open my pc it's show pin isn't available......after I restart and going troubleshoot and going to cmd to open regedit...my both c and d drive don't show...i couldn't fix the problem start repair...and all 4 methods...i don't know what happene in my pc... I couldn't find disk part or disk list... When I open my pc ... After boot pin isn't available... this show... Can u solve the problem what can I do...how I open my pc

@@Abhishek_bro94 Don't worry, it will take few tries but your pc will work, its not easy to analyze and provide prompt solutions but we will work it out, if your hard disk not crashed there are a lot options to it get to work. For instance, you can create windows recovery media from any other pc and work it out, and remember when you are booting pc in “Advanced Option” and/or “Trouble Shoot” its possible your system changed original drive letters, so try drive letters E F X etc... and if you find your Windows Directory, there you are! (If you need to create “Recovery USB Drive” I have placed a link in this videos description). But first I suggest you to try another video, the video title is " How to Reset Forgotten Windows 11 Password". Link is in this video’s description, please check it out and keep me posted.

@@RightSolutionssir ...again show pin isn't available available I can't open...try various method... troubleshoot, regedit,cmd ,repair pc...I can't find my c and d drive to fix... I don't understand how my pc boot...and something happened and pin isn't available...and after show this system detect overrun... my 512gb nvme SSD not show...i try to reinstall window but my usb is not show...to reinstall new... window... After some step I decide to run window in pendrive as live window...after I boot pc Pc nvme 512gb SSD c and d drive not show...only show pendrive... Can u tell me what happened my SSD

@@Abhishek_bro94 It looks like you have NVMe M.2 ssd, if yes, older motherboard has some driver’s issue with NVMe SSDs these do not appear within the BIOS until Windows creates the system partition with the EFI Boot Sector. If you have any spare M.2 slot in your system, move your ssd in that slot and try starting up with windows 10 bootable usb as it has its own NVME driver built in. Hopefully it should work, if not there is a lengthy procedure to make some changings to your BIOS, I don’t know how I can guide you there. In case you want to go an extra mile, go and reset bios to factory defaults by removing the motherboard battery or using jumper method, (DO IT ONLY IF YOU ARE SURE ABOUT IT)
