A forgotten survival and bushcraft skill is sewing. Sewing is not something to be overlooked as it helps repair, maintain and prolong the life of your equipment and gear. It allows a person to connect to materials together and create anything from a knife sheath, jacket, boots, cloak or vest. Making a simple sewing kit with bone awls and antler plugs can greatly increase someones survivability in the bush!
Thanks a million for watching, liking and sharing my videos. I appreciate the support you all have given this channel! Your time, interests and feedback are important to me. I really want to say thanks to each and every person who likes, subscribes and shares my videos. Much respect!

Had to learn how to sew in home economics. I still use it to fix my gear and work clothes. Used it as a single dad for surgery on my daughter's beloved stuffed bunny. I never would've guessed how much I would need this skill

Over 70 years ago at infants school I made a cardboard model of Hiawatha's canoe & sewed it at the seams with blanket stitch! Yes we were allowed scissors & needles to use back then & I have done all my own needlework ever since then! Thank you for another lovely report on here Sir!

Sewing both in survival and paleo scenario is an overlooked subject. While it got the same importance as in stoneware, pottery, cordage, firemaking, food preservation, hunting, trapping, leatherworking, etc

My grandmother taught me how to sew when I was a kid. Started working with leather then too using squirrel raw hide and old leather gloves. I use better materials now. But there's something in the way you teach that makes me want to watch and listen to you. I enjoy your content.

If a 14yo boy without a job needs to get Grandma a gift and she crochets he can make her crochet hooks out of deer leg slivers. They are wonderful crochet hooks: steel ones get greasy and cold and are heavy. And ugly. Bone hooks are light, warm, easy to hold and beautiful. Leave them kinda rectangular in cross section so Grandma can easily twist them in her fingers, which is what the weird flat spot on steel hooks is for. Bone is way more comfortable. Grandma will love them.
