Eric Moulds finished his career just 5 yards short of the 10,000 yard club and perhaps if he was a member of that prestigious club, he'd have more people talking about him. He was the man who had to follow up an all time great and Bills franchise legend, Andre Reed, and although he couldn't equal the numbers, he did a pretty good job in making up for that loss. Moulds played 12 NFL seasons, the majority of those with Buffalo, that saw him end his career as second place on all of the major receiving categories for the Bills. Moulds' had some inconsistency over his career as his 3 pro bowl seasons were never in succession of each other, but a lot of blame should be placed on Buffalo's inability to find a consistent starting QB during Moulds' time there. WIth all that being said, Eric Moulds is still one of the greatest receivers of an era and for an NFL franchise, so he definitely deserves an episode.

Yes, Eric Moulds is sandwiched between Diggs and Andre Reed in Bills' Lore. Andre Reed is a remarkable story. Reed emerged from Kutztown State and was a main pillar of the K-Gun / No Huddle / 4 Super Bowl Era. Reed had his [shining] moments in that Frank Reich comeback and, unfortunately, slamming his helmet in the Redskins / Minneapolis Super Bowl. Now, the Bills are a perennial contender, with Allen - Diggs. Moulds put up big numbers and was quietly consistent, to a fault, to the point where few people remember or talk about him. The Bills also went into decline after the Music City Miracle. That loss was the last gasp of winning for the franchise after the 4 Super Bowls.

I remember I was looking up WR stats by seasons every year starting from 1970. Got to 98 when Moss went off only to find Moulds had just as good of a year minus the TDs. Moulds put up 1300 yds on 60+ catches. Crazy

There was a Viking Bills game in 01 or 02 that went into OT that was a shootout with Moss, Moulds and Price lighting it up. Great game.

That 1996 NFL Draft WR class was legendary. I’d love it if you’d cover all the players not Harrison and Owens.

My favorite Buffalo Bill of all time. Still have his Kelly era jersey and his Bledsoe era jersey.

I think a player and ex teammate of his to consider doing the profile on would be Peerless Price. Great years early on in Buffalo and some memorable years in Atlanta during the Michael Vick era.

Just sign him for one day, one catch, and get him in the 10k club

He was on a podcast that covers the SEC and one of the hosts asked him if he would consider doing this and he said he's fine with it and never thinks about it. That kind of disappointed me but if he's good with it I'm good with it I guess.

Heck, I'm surprised the Bills don't hire him as the WR room coach. He's certainly got the receipts to cash in. Shoot, from what Khalil says he could still be giving defenses headaches today lol. Guy is Buffalo Legend.

Peerless Price really did not do much in Atlanta. I am not sure if this was due to Mike Vick's limitations as a passer at that time, or because Price - Moulds were so complementary in Buffalo, to help spring each other open.

It was IMO Vick always relied on big body TE to throw it up to when his first read fell through and he couldn't run

@Michael Allen damn thats super cool that Eric Allen is your cousin. I definitely wanna do more defensive players, but the problem is that it's hard to find highlights. Some of the guys on my list are a little more recent like Chris mccallister, Sam madison, Aaron Glenn and Carnell lake, to name a few. Just tough to find the time to sift through full games for year specific highlights
