it is very interesting and effective to discuss such a "big" topic with an ubiquitous device. It introduces elements of surprise and discovery in the video. I like the implication of clarity in design (when form follows function) with a good life. It is inspirational to appreciate design beyond the categories of style and market. Lastly, the effective presentation in the video demonstrates and enacts its subject (form follows function)...

Noticed the cap in the Japanese product is also a bit larger...I assume it makes it easier to maneuver the brush.

Yes, you are probably right. A longer/larger cap would be easier to hold. Good eye!
