We might assume that after years of experience, Sora had the potential for formchanges; he would've obtained it earlier in his exam if Xehanort hadn't screwed him. That power must had been dormant until Sora's desire to help others in Olympus had awakened it along with other new abilities. When sora was given new clothes, Yen Sid did say that the suit does have "special powers" which might have been transformations for keychains that Sora later obtained in the game.

And yet mickey who fight using keyblade for 10 years doesn't do a formchange

but its hard to get it up there... when you kill the enemies so fast and easily NO MATTER THE DIFFICULTY!

@@Jeptheplay i usually dont have a problem with that. i just dont give myself any strength or magic boost, not making myself too high level, n critical converter and critical recharge helps a lot. in addition, i rather use air combos for second form just bcuz magnet burst brings enemies together n it boosts up the situation quicker..... also im 3 years late to tell u that im sorry

Steven Higgins I find it more reasonable to have Stun Impact in order to have variety of abilities of Sora throughout different titles. Stun Impact has been an ability in KHFM, COM and 3D. Since we had so many signature attacks of Sora similar to Sonic Blade and Ars Arcanum, it’s only more reasonable to find other abilities to add for having varieties. After all, Sora gained many abilities other than the original four of KH1’s

@@Ventus2077 But it shouldn't be a Form Finisher. Form Finishers are supposed to be powerful, like Limit Breaks. Stun Blast has always just been combo finisher level. We barely get to use Strike Raid at all. First, it's only usable against Large Body types, second, you can only use it if your first block their belly slide, then you have to follow the input prompts, and then, even after all that, you only throw it once. At the very least, it should have been a regular reprisal, not a conditional one. Besides which Strike Raid has been around longer, since KH vanilla. Stun Impact only came in with Final Mix.

They way I see it is, strike raid should have been available as a limit break in most forms, including base form, which you can use unlimited times in battle as long as your mp gauge will allow it; in second form, Sora's level 1 finish command should be stun impact, his level 2 finish command should have been the Kingdom Hearts 2 version of trinity limit combined with ancient light, and his level 3 finish command should have been the Kingdom Hearts 1 version of trinity limit; and he should also have unlimited usage of the sonic blade and ars arcanum limit breaks, the latter of which should have both the ground version from Kingdom Hearts 1, and the air version from Dream Drop Distance; and any damage that Sora does to his enemies via limit breaks should heal his hp gauge in return, like it did in Kingdom Hearts 2. In addition, since second form is a successor to limit form, third form should be a successor to valor form, and fourth form should be a successor to final form.

The Drive Forms came from his KH2 clothes, that's why they're different in KH3, different outfit, but with similar powers. Xemnas also couldn't take away Dual-Wielding, because that's an effect of Sora having Ven's heart inside his. The reason he doesn't in KH3 is because then the developers would have to take that ability away just before the final battles, which would be a terrible move gameplay wise. And yeah, you get to most of the abilities from DDD back, but you don't start with them. That's what they mean by having his power taken, he was reset to level 1, lost most of his magic and abilities and had to build them back up.

Mikeykitty123 The actual reason why Sora cannot use Drive Forms is because Ventura’s heart is no more within Sora’s body, along with the reason you’ve wrote too

@@Ventus2077 Drive Forms had nothing to do with Ven, that power was in his clothes. The only thing Ven gave him was Synch Blade. If he had his KH2 outfit throught the whole game, he'd have the same forms, his without that particular ability. Hell, if you enter Rage Form while wearing the KH2 clothes, it has the same patterns on the pants and sleeves as Anti-Form. Additionally, Roxas was able the Dual-Wield but coulton use Drive Forms, further showing the abilities come from different sources.

Since second form is a successor to limit form, they should bring back valor form and final form as third form and fourth form, respectively, since form changes are contingent on key blades, and the oathkeeper, oblivion, and ultimate weapon key blades are too hard to obtain for most players; thus, adding third form and fourth form will allow you to stick with the kingdom key for the entire game, and Sora's second key blade in third form and fourth form should be Braveheart, Riku's new key blade in Kingdom Hearts 3.

i kinda find it strange that "Guardian Form emphasizes defensive capabilities" n the only defense capabilities i see is heros origin. i dont see how the hunny spout n classic tone keyblades have any defensive capabilities n why the grand chef keyblade uses blitz form which is speed capability.

I know it’s an ability ^^ I didn’t explain it well in the video, but what I was saying is that you can’t use this ability while in second form. Even if equipped, it won’t trigger.

That is the rising spiral attack ability I mentioned in the video! For some reason that ability is not usable while in formchanges.

The Circle button would not always use the Rising Slash ability. Rather, in formchanges, they perform certain finishers, depending on the formchange.

I also have one on Counter Shield! ^^ Working on a Rage Form breakdown as well which should drop this Saturday!

Ya it’s a little tough sometimes to build the situation meter up fast enough to get to that finisher. You can switch keyblades and build up the situation meter then switch to second form for the final hit to switch your finisher.

This is really cool! I think those could fit pretty easily as well! Though Starseeker already triggers Second Form M with the reskin DLC keyblades. I really hope we get more keyblades with any DLC!

@@BioRoxas Midnight Blue isn't really Starseaker though. Sorta like how Mickey's new keyblade isn't one of the Kingdom Keys. If anything Midnight Blue's addition sorta supports the theory that Starseaker could be coming back as DLC, since the model is already present with a different skin. I mostly hope for keyblades that actually look like they have edges like blades do, which we got in the other games. Those were always the coolest looking to me.

You could use magic to fill the meter! I believe that will work if you get a couple attacks in at first.

I feel like the ability to cancel magnet burst into magic may be a reference to a common tactic used in kh2 for mob clearing. Magnet then spam thunder, but since KH3 doesn't have magnet they had to be more creative... I'm probably over thinking thus but whatever :/

@@vivil2533 actually, it turns out we can't cancel magna burst with common magic, only grand magics which are situation commands. After watching this video I tried but we can't do it. Anyway, it's still cool to cancel moves with situation commands. You can cancel magna burst to formchange into another keyblade transformation or you can drawn enemies with it and then use second's form finishers, like stun impact....

I had two combo plus abilities while using Second Form and it wasn’t triggering. Also formchanges overwrite most combat abilities so it shouldn’t matter if you equip them I believe. Just to confirm though you are sure you were in Second Form and were still able to trigger it?

Yeah but look at this way, you can't switch between keyblades and perform combos with different transformations, or air guarding, airstep, or Guard between a combo in KHII, so both games have their advantages

I did notice? How would someone not notice that xD I did a showcase that showed them off but didn’t really feel the need to breakdown cosmetics. But I’ll keep it in mind for future formchanges like ultimate form! I was planning on doing breakdowns for the actual forms like guardian, strike, and blitz which I probably would talk about aesthetics, but I guess Second Form, rage, and ultimate are it’s own forms that deserve a closer look at aesthetic changes.

Bio-Roxas yeah I was kinda annoyed the completely glosses over all the haircuts and new keyblades and stuff, people have been speculation about Riku and Mickey’s keyblades for months and there wasn’t even a bit of explanation towards their appearance at all
