Nice to get some fresh blood in the room-- Zadorov and Lindholm Jr will be fun additions that give the team a better chance to go further in the playoffs. Seems like Boozie wanted to get as far away as possible.... looking forward to the first report of Tocchet calling out his conditioning/attitude/effort/productivity.

You have to watching Florida, win the Stanley Cup The Bruins were the second best team in the league. They needed two guys like this to make them better.

Zaka to the wing with pasta will increase Zaka scoring. Second line should be better, maybe. Defense and pounding the opponent is the plan.

DeBrusk helped Cassidy get canned so he could go when a cup in his first year with a new team. I'm very happy he is a Canuck and know they will hate the contract they gave him in a few years.

Clearly Boston had zero interest in retaining DeBrusk. I think Sweeney is looking into a trade, they’re not done yet.

Marchy needs to work on his game. He lost speed and stick handling ability has went down. Hope he puts in work in offseason being the capt and all or is he the type to sit on couch w a 6 pack all break.

@@davidselawsky6620 Marchand lost Bergeron. He would bring the puck in the zone, spin around,look for Bergeron, “ oops” he doesn’t play here anymore then get swarmed or fall down cause there’s no one open to pass to

@@davidselawsky6620 To imply it's laziness is obnoxious. Two years ago he had double hip surgery. 1 year ago he had a shoulder procedure. He's 35 you don't heal as quickly when you are on the wrong side of 30. It's got nothing to do with conditioning. It's got to do with his body having broken down and him not being the same player.

You can certainly try it and I'm sure they will. But even when Bergeron was still here they'd moved off of the perfection line. Putting all of your talent on one line makes it easier to shut you down. It makes it so both the others teams best defensive forwards and best defensive d can focus on your one line and make efforts to shut it down. It's fine during the regular season but it's very easy to shut down a front loaded team in the playoffs.

If you think getting rid of DeBrusk was smart you are not smart. 3rd highest scorer on the bruins consecutively over the playoffs.

@@CowboyUp1371 everyone was average in the playoffs for the bruins except swayman. I don’t think he is worth over 7 mil with a -16 rating and only 47 points in the season missing no games 🤷

at this point of lindholms career.. one should really expect 60pts in the regular season.. he's had only 2 season of 70+ points in his career..

The 70+ point seasons he was playing with players similar to his level of skill. Since those seasons he’s been playing with sub par talent and being shoved down to the third line at one point in Vancouver. Playing with Pastrnak will bring him back to form

@@ac4524 FYI he played with miller/brock/Petterson before he was shut down at tail end of regular season.. the shoved in 3rd line was only in playoffs.. fyi i' suspect that 80+ point single season is an anomaly.. even Johnny hockey could not replicate that result subsequently (similar 11 seasons).. lets face it.. he's been in the league for 11 seasons.. very few players get EVEN more points after hitting a peak.. if you said 70 points.. sure.. that pretty close to his mean.. if you said 80+... doubt it.. he's not that type of player to begin with..

20 goals 60 points. That's what I expect. But I also expect him to win faceoffs both in the regular season and in the playoffs. And I expect him to drive possession and keep the puck in the other end of the ice most of the time when he's on the ice. If he can do that he's worth the price of admission because that's what this teams scheme is built around and it's something we didn't have last year.

Of course Sweeney gave him every opportunity ( should have been gone years ago!!!) to succeed and he was terrible!!!

I think Sweeney is a great hockey mind, but he is constrained by Jeremy Jacobs who has never swung for the fences. We needed Sam Reinhart not Lindholm. Who pairs with Pastrnak and Lindholm. Marchand? He is 36! If Debrusk goes, our next most experienced Winger is Van Reimsdyk who is 35 and Brazeau who has less than a full season. We are so unbalanced and if Reinheart resigns with Florida how do we beat the Panthers in the playoffs next year. If Jeremy Jacobs is not going to give Sweeney the deep money to get the talent he REALLY needs to win a Cup, let him build the team thru Providence, which takes time, and ketvthe fans know that.

Bs spend their load on the cap. Every year they are after any available player whether it’s by trade or signing. Who do you think Don could have obtained?

Lindholm may play with Zacha and Pasta. Zacha has played wing before.

You don't get it. Reinhart and guentzel weren't leaving their teams. Which leaves Lindholm as the best available. You don't seem to understand that the top players don't hit free agency. You draft or trade nobody is available now. Also the league is different now. Everyone has money now. This isn't baseball. So you can only deal with cards dealt.

I think we didnt do enough for offense. We will cont to struggle scoring. Zacha sucks as long as we still play him we arent doing shit in playoffs him and Coyle were pathetic
