Poor Jimmy…i know one of the reasons he’s held on for so long is because of Rosalynn. I can’t imagine the pain he’s going through, especially for his age he must be confused even. He sadly won’t last much longer at all : (

Incredibly moving, perhaps a reflection of our appreciation for the example of serving others most of us can merely admire and aspire to. I worked directly for President Carter in 2012-13. Their SS agents were definitely dedicated and very much respected each of them.

One of the secret service agents approached me, asking to get into SUV, we drove to the security police armory and he requested I draw both of my issued firearms, he even knew the butt number of my M-16 rifle and was very pleasant to be around. I secured the Air Control Tower as Air Force One landed at Fairchild AFB in Washington state. The president came to see the damage from Mt. St. Helens, I was placed in the receiving line to greet the president and shook his hand while still fully armed!! Mrs. Carter was not with him, I am sure he felt out of place because she was not beside him. I assume he will follow behind very soon! God Bless them both and their families, I am sure the secret service agents cried privately at Rosalynn's passing, I have!! What a great example we were able to see!!

An amazing, eloquent lady. What a legacy love story the 2 of them had. 77 yrs. A lot of ppl don't even live that long much less get to have a marriage that long. They really did see one another as equal partners and I think that led to their marriage success.

No matter what your politics are, I would hope you would appreciate the true dignity of this wonderful couple. Unlike so many other ex presidents, busy accumulating obscene wealth, this couple has lived a simple life…focused primarily on helping the less fortunate.
