🙏I think President Carter has just completed his final duty, to be certain that his wife was taken care of before he goes peacefully. What a wonderful life to have loved for 77 years, to have shared the White House together, and to serve all Americans as President & First Lady, and through their commitment to a lifetime of charitable work! 👏🏼

I want to thank the First Ladies for showing their respect by their presence at the funeral. Mrs. Carter was a vibrant, intelligent, kind and thoughtful person. Yes, the tears came when I saw President Carter. A remarkable man.

Put all politics aside -- it is clear that the post-presidential years of this man have been the most inspiring of just about any president in the history of this country. A forty year plus period, after the White House, of helping others, including taking a hammer in his hand to help physically build homes for those who had none. Jimmy Carter will be greatly remembered for his amazing achievements -- most especially what he did AFTER his time in the White House.

I lived through his presidency while in high school, he was pathetic and bad and weakened us as a nation when our tradition back then was a strong nation and a world leader and many of us old cotton choppers still live in that world and want to see a return of the past and a former glory

Heartbreaking for them to be separated, but very touching for him to be here for her one last time. When attending a funeral, or watching it on a screen, one cannot help but reflect on their own life and ultimate fate. I wish I had what they had, a 70 year marriage. But we only get one shot at life...

I know this is the funeral for the First Lady, but as I watch this service with deep sadness, I can't help but think that soon her husband will be next. Such a heartbreak. There has never been such great humanitarians like those two. Both born and raised in Plains and spent their whole lives there, even after the presidency. Even teaching Sunday School every year until the very end. No one should be left alone for the remainder of their lives toward the end, it only makes their condition worse. I know from experience with my own family. God Bless You Rosalynn Carter!

Oh dear, I can‘t watch this well. My heart is so heavy. To see President Carter saying the last farewell to his love is simply heartbreaking. And then this beautiful ode „America the beautiful“. Even a tear came to my eye. Here in Europe we have good memories of her being a kind and beautiful woman. A fine woman. May her soul rest in peace.

My dad just passed last night, age 99. Was active his whole life, sports etc. Kayaked last year for his 98th birthday. But the body wears out eventually. I wish both President Carter and Mrs. Carter peace.

I feel for President Carter. To lose his beloved takes a lot out of a man and I can see it on his face. When my own mom passed in 2017 my father lost the will to live. We kept him focused for 4 years after our mom's burial but one say he told us, it was time. He was gone within a week after saying it. He couldn't live any longer being separated from our mom. Now they are together as of April 30, 2021 and are happy once more. I extend my prayers to President Carter.

Jimmy Carter is an amazing human being, his post presidency is very inspiring in and of itself. His love for his wife and family and what they had for him is clear, 77 years is amazing, reminds me of the type of my love my great grandparents have, they just celebrated 58 years.

Love and Prayers to the Carter family. They did alot for their country. To be married 77 years is an amazing feat. My father left us three and a half years ago. He and my Mother just celebrated 72 years of marriage. Even though he is not with us,I still believe they are married. 🙏✝️✌️

Before I read the last part of your comment, I was going to say the same thing. Jimmy and Rosalynn were only married 77 years in this lifetime on earth, but they will always and forever be married. He will join her when it's time and they will carry on married for eternity. Such incredible people.

I cannot stop crying after watching this video. You could see all the emotions and love that Jimmy had for Rosalynn. There were really with each other till the end. I can’t not imagine being married to someone for over 70 years, they truly had something special between them. ❤

I hope you feel the same way about trump when he passes, in a nutshell Carter was a hater of Israel, and the Jewish state, who showed weakness on the world stage when Iran overtook our embassy and held our ppl. @@holliday0191 believe me. I am highly criticized for saying these things . I was in middle school in 77 and the high school by 1980. The electorate of ppl. Back then could run circles around the fools who vote today and we knew when Iran over took our embassy in 79 and he was dancing apologetically and taking measures in inches instead of by yards and running through those towel heads with our heads held high like proud Americans. We knew back then we had a weakling in office, but thank God for Reagan, they knew what he was gonna do and released them so fast that Reagan was not able to unleash the beast of a military back then and that was way before Obama and Biden gutted our military and yes many of us old cotton choppers know that Carter was a weakling who did nothing while in office and if anything, he set the trend for weak Democrats to run for office who couldn't even run a dog shelter, much less the USA as a commander in chief.
