I guess they forgot karma and Bible law. If they sinned in new era of giving they probably chose wrong alot. Many who end up in wheelchairs but we're defense attorney all old and with COPD, can't speak end up with the first wife in end. The one who is not paying attention the one who used and blows smoke. That s been my observation. Maybe should start looking in good column in Bible. That could help and memorize!

Simple answer to all these problems. End qualified immunity. If a police officer knows they can personally be sued for their behavior then their behavior will change. Full stop!

DO NOT REMOVE: Plenty of police officers are caught yearly of rape/sex crimes, assault, domestic violence, murder, perjury, planting of drugs and evidence, etc... Police think they have God-given authority over man is the work of narcissism and corruption, not of law, Romans 13, or of God! The job of a policeman attracts abusive psychopaths and narcissists like magnets are attracted to iron! Last Wednesday, A 41-year-old Pennsylvania police chief "Shawn Denning" accused of helping to distribute cocaine, methamphetamine, and other narcotics faces 20 years in prison. The chief's actions were uncovered after he sold 35 grams of cocaine and 325 tablets containing meth to a source working with the DEA. you can’t take the psychological screwup out of a person. you can’t take jealousy and envy out of a person and replace it with EMPATHY m, HONESTY and INTEGRITY! recruiting police or Correctional officers should not have low standards and be seen as just a easy steady income with benefits just to fill the spot. i have a family member that became a CO 6 months out of highschool. the little country town built a big new state of the art jail as well as a new prison and guaranteed anyone the job who completed the 6 month course. this family member retired a few years ago however, he is and always has been one of the biggest criminals in town. A thief like no other but transported prisoners for 30 years. many of these cops go into LE just to bully others and get a paycheck. we automatically think people in law enforcement are honest but the reality is, they took the job for a steady paycheck and benefits. PERIODT! Some of them commit and continue to commit more crimes than the worst batch of death row inmates combined.

They'd harass little petty drug dealers. Try to demonize you, give you a gang name, like S.York Ave Posse, wtf. I witnessed it, these cats sell enough pot/crack to afford a pizza, strawberry soda and some powder donuts, gtfoh. Now they've escalated to jumping out and just killing innocent people. Force continuum is taught in every PD across the nation and the "training needs to be modified or reimagined" is a just a dumb cliche. Policing isn't rocket science. Just make sure everyone follows the rules and is punished accordingly for breaking them. The overwhelming amount of police are good people.

I have said this in other forum's and I will say it again..... in my opinion the chief of police along with every other staff member who played any role in appointing the officer's to be a part of the "scorpion unit" should be terminated. It is my opinion that both the appointed members of this unit along with the individuals who appointed said members share the same violent agenda. Although the appointing individuals weren't clairvoyant in knowing these appointed members would brutally beat and murder Mr. Nichols; it is in my assumptive opinion that these individuals in charge of appointing these officer's knew the characteristic traits of the officer's. The only style of police work that would have prevailed in meeting the alleged agenda of the "scorpion unit" would be community policing and the officer's had the utmost respect from the community of which I do not believe to be the case here. The appointing individuals in my opinion made a poor judgment call in appointing those five officers and under know certain terms can they be afforded to make another poor judgment call. These individuals need to be held accountable both the appointed and the appointees and have no umbrella of sovereign immunity coverage. Set the presesedence with this case. I have 15 years of law enforcement behind me prior to moving onward and it is my opinion that the leadership isn't part of the solution but the problem.

We are making this too difficult. Stop pulling people over for traffic citations unless the vehicle is connected to a crime. Use technology to issue tickets. That would greatly reduce the amount of unnecessary stops, officers fearing for their lives, and overall wrongful death suits. This is an individual decision. My question is this how long will this discussion go on. It seems like it will never end. The incidents that are publicize are those caught on tape...but what about the abuse that is not caught on tape. The judicial system has condone this type of behavior and for many will not change... We call it white privilege...but this really hurts ( all abuse by the cops hurts..but to see five black men in a situation like this is disgusting ). You would think that these black men would have understood the act of abusing blacks. You see they felt that they could do the same and get away with it. I get the feeling they are going to be shown that they are just like the rest of the black folks out here. Oh yes...they will be used as the pawns to show the police are not corrupt. Justice will be served. As it should....... This world going to hell.....Feels like we are already there................... Gotta be something better on the other side.....

The five Memphis white police officers we charged on Thursday with second-degree murder for the death of Tyre Nichols, a 29-year-old Black man, after a traffic stop that escalated into what the authorities have described as a display of staggering brutality. This white officers are racist 😲

Also I feel like he's using Tyre Nichols tragic situation to get some kinda limelight like he's getting more and more interviews sounding like all police officer across the country that sugar coat and don't want to have real conversation. They love to say build that "trust" with the community how??

Why so much effort and time lost attempting to defund police instead of improving the standards that STILL don't seem well defined?
@biobrolly
@biobrolly Жыл бұрын
Eventually police will be disbanded and military will be enforced then people will hate that worse. Petty crime connections or citations should not be overlooked but not enforced to the degree that it's being pushed for with the traffic stops going out of hand. At the same time stop means stop form both parties cops and the ones being detained. I think law enforcement is tired of not being respected they are forcing the respect and portraying it as anger.

I think training will not correct employing people ill qualified and mean spirited. That beating would have taken place regardless of the training. 5 together in a group, all mean spirited to me was not an unkown, it was known how they operated and impossible not to believe it was condoned by the department.

Maybe. But like MLK jr said (to paraphrase) we can legislate morality. These guys were given too much freedom and time to build up their own little tight society, and there was no reasonable and ethical leadership who thoroughly checked up on them. A few commands stating they were veering off into unconstitutional behaviors might have slowed them down enough to reconsider. These "bad seeds" had "bad" branches in the department.

This is not about individuals and their character, etc. which is just a more sophisticated version of bad cop/good cop. This is about the culture of the department--what the department tolerates (by not disciplining) and what it rewards. Change that dynamic and you change policing.

The distrust for Police is nationwide sadly. One can go on YT every night, and one can easily find daily recordings of excessive force being used. Police have a long journey ahead of them to regain trust. A very long journey.

Training? 🤔.. Human decency shouldn't need to be "trained" ... Most people have it but i believe the only thing that might work is iron fist discipline. How about a 2 yr wage freeze for minor proven complaints and instantly termination on major issues like this one ? Usually this starts out with smaller civil rights violations...

Training is Only 1 Aspect of ANY Police Officer's Actions & Behaviour towards both the Common Citizen they Swore an Oath to Serve & Protect as well as the Hardened Criminals out there! COMMON SENSE IS & SHOULD BE the Other Equal Equation that Determines HOW REASONABLE Force is applied & Used to Simply ENFORCE the LAWs!!! Beating &/or Shooting ANYONE or Any Suspect to Death over a Simple Traffic Violation is NOT Humane, Logical, or even close to being REASONABLE!!! GOD gave us ALL a Brain with the Devine Gift to be able to Think Rationally & NOT just Emotionally!!! I would Highly & STRONGLY Advise/Recommend that Those in Elected & Appointed Office who are Charged with the Duty & Responsibility of Serving & Protecting "the People", do so Accordingly & Quickly, or find themselves REMOVED from their Office & Position of Temporary Authority Very SOON!!! In Short, CHOOSE WISELY!!!
