That was from the Soviet Collapse until the 1993 constitutional crisis, where the President ordered the army to fire tank shells into the Russian parliament, aka "The Russian White House." But that doesn't mean that we should return to this red shit. In Poland there was shock therapy too and it succeeded as well as in Russia. 90s was difficult time of reforms that later gave boost to Russian economy in 2000s and made Russia one of the most economicaly successful countries in Eastern Europe, among Eastern EU countries. Things went wrong in 2014 after the brother killing war with Ukraine began.
