15:30 BIG PRIZE. That's always how I play in Japan; I guess I'm just not a very patient player cuz I'll always just go WAY over force limit and over-extend myself like mad. It's like a race between my debt ticking up and income from peace deals. I guess I always do that though. I went for the Phillipine Tiger achievement as Cebu and ended up unifying all of the Malay archipelago before 1500. "That wasn't so bad" then I realize I'm 2 behind on admin tech and I STILL can't full core everything because I'm short on adm points lol

For the So seige - I believe it’s because the overlord unconditionally surrender, so the vassal also gave you occupation. I love Japan, it is a great region to start. Date is my favorite daimyo idea set

As far as I know you get occupation over all Lands when an enemy unconditionally surrenders. I guess you also get occupation over the vassal too

Ludi do you know you can set ur rivals on 11 of December and also gain humiliate conquest war by using one of ur diplomats to issue embargo onto anyone which in turn triggers the game to give u humiliate wars for ur rivals. Just a fyi. I'm guessing you do know but just prefer this playstyle 😃

Speed forming Japan is so painful, and even more so when complete. Low admin, problems with money, and corruption since you start falling behind in tech except for mil. Course, the money rolls in when you beat up Ming, but that first 50 years are tough and that's some time before the player gets to that point. Still trying to get that dang Japan manufactures achievement lol!

Might I recommend fighting 2-3 show strength wars at the very start? It greatly softens the admin point shortage, makes it easy to dev renaissance in your capital, and usually, doesn't truce lock you. What typically happens after you show strength on a clan, is all the other neighbors declare their own wars and annex them. You can then conquer your new larger neighbor in one fell swoop.
